Based on my conversations with many members of Ikebana International in North America, one of the greatest concerns is sustaining and growing membership and chapters. The chapters differ widely in size, funding, and the resources needed to develop new vibrant programs that will attract members. While each chapter has operated independently, many face common challenges, but I believe that by working together, sharing knowledge and resources, we can collectively achieve a level of growth and advancement that none of us can achieve alone.
To this purpose, the Advocates Committee wishes to act as a resource to the chapters and to develop a foundation for the future prosperity of ikebana.
