Get Pumped for Pets
Program Development Grant Guidelines

Welcome! Here are the guidelines and application for the 2018 grant cycle.

Program Development Grants may be used to support activities that expand the operational capability of your institution to increase quality of animal care or to increase adoption rates.

Requests must fall within a range of $1000 to $10,000.

Grant recipients should be within Queen Anne’s, Kent, Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester counties.

Get Pumped for Pets Program Development Grant Applications open on July 1, 2018, and are due by August 30 by 11:59 pm.

Finalists will receive an unannounced on-site visit by an auditor to assess the current state of care for the animals in your program.

A final report will be required and must show direct quality of animal care impact or adoption impact connected to the project.

Selection Criteria

Applications are judged on the value and impact the award will make on expanding current operational capabilities.

Grant applicants must subscribe to the Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters published by The Association of Shelter Veterinarians.

Application is fully completed and signed by an authorizing official by application deadline.

All required supplemental materials are submitted.

Applicant’s financials demonstrate organizational stability.

Additional Information

Funds must be utilized within one year and spent for the purposes outlined in the grant application.

Review Process

All funding decisions are made by the members of the Get Pumped for Pets Board of Directors at their sole discretion.

Organizations awarded grant monies agree to having their names and photographs used by Get Pumped for Pets.

Get Pumped for Pets reserves the right to conduct unannounced site inspections.
