Directions: Read an opinion piece from your columnist and respond to the following prompts:

1) Include the writer, publication, title of the piece, and a link to the article.

2) Identify the main argument the writer makes. Describe in two to three sentences.

3) Identify and describe three rhetorical strategies the writer uses to achieve his or her purpose. Write four to five sentences for each strategy.

4) Read through your classmates’ responses and respond to three. Focus on the argument and/or rhetoric in two to three sentences per classmate.
