Supporting Guidelines for Chess Events
Karad City Chess Association
Preface
These are the guidelines prepared for the events of informal nature (unrated) which are for reference to those who are not able to conduct a FIDE Rated Chess Tournament due to several constraints.
The intention is to ensure that the maximum degree of professionalism and compliance to the standards set by FIDE and AICF are achieved. While preparing this document, it is understood that the areas where such a document may become useful are those where the Environment of Chess is still at primitive stages and that all general tournament standards might be difficult to be achieved. Such Events cannot be officially recognised by regulating bodies and are classified as Unrated Events.
The intention of organising such events is to encourage the adaptation of Chess as a game of preference in the Society. It is understood that the organisers of such an event are solely responsible for such an event. KCCA shall be an assisting / conducting authority appointed by the organisers.
Based on this understanding, the following Guidelines are prepared with reference from standards set by AICF, FIDE and general experience.
