JOSLIN LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

                                        SPECIAL MEETING

                               APRIL 14, 2021   5:30 P.M. VIA ZOOM

Present:  Jean Joslin, Sally Reisner, Carol Hosford, Jason Butler, Anna Church

Absent:  David Babic, Trish Read

Jean called the meeting to order at 5:32.

The minutes of our last meeting will be approved at our next regular meeting on May 19th.

Jean said that the lighting project will probably take place on April 15th. We received a $10,000 grant but the cost of the work is $5800.  The remainder of the money may be used for further improvements to the building but must be spent by June 1st.

After a discussion, members present agreed that Jason should be fully vaccinated plus two weeks before the library opens again.  We expect that this will occur by June 1st, if not before.  Anna is already fully vaccinated.

Upon opening, hours will be Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Jason has drawn up a list of Covid-related precautions that will be followed.

Anna reported that she is working with the children’s librarians from Warren and Moretown to plan outdoor events around the theme “Tails and Tales.”

Sally offered a motion to close the meeting.  Carol seconded.  The meeting ended at 6:06 p.m.
