Core Instruction with Digital Components

All teachers deliver all core instruction directly in a mixture of whole-group, small-group, and individual instruction and activities.  Students primarily interact with the teacher and print texts, workbooks, and copies.  Digital tools are available to enhance activities, personalize independent practice, and provide multiple means to demonstrate understanding.

There is not a direct instruction component for i-Ready ELS. Teachers use it as one of their ELA center or rotation activities. Students practice skills using iReady MyPath on iPads daily or 2-3 times a week.

Bring Science Alive! TCI

TCI was adopted in 2019 and provides science lessons and activities for students.

Privacy Policy

Teacher led mini lesson utilizing digital slides or presentation tools. Some students use iPads in grades 3-5 to read the text and take notes while all other students in grades K-5 use a printed packet and/or textbook. Experiments are done using hands-on materials and/or by making and recording observations.

Supplemental digital tools are completely optional tools selected to add value to the curriculum as time allows.  Teachers use these in a variety of ways to meet the needs of their students. Use of these tools differs greatly over the year based on content and projects. Priority is always given to the core curriculum tools.

Freckle provides additional Math and Reading practice and helps to develop math fluency and ELA skills. Families who want extra practice may access it at home.

BrainPop (3-5)

BrainPop Jr (K-2)

Brainpop provides short animated videos on topics across content areas.  These are used to build background knowledge, reteach concepts, or begin research. Videos have optional quizzes and activities that follow for active engagement.

Typing Agent (3-5)

Typing Agent is a self-paced, adaptive keyboarding curriculum to increase familiarity and effective use of keyboard input.

Book Creator (K-5)

A publishing tool used by some teachers as a final step in the writing process (after paper/pencil planning, drafting, and revising)  for specific projects.

Rostering\SSO Services

Classlink (K-5)

Classlink provides our classrooms with a single portal sign-on for our digital instructional tools.  Classlink also supports educational rostering for applications. Students use ClassLink only to sign into the above tools.
