  6. Kenny: Finals Relief 7-9 Wednesday Dec 15, social event with refreshments, any help with it would be appreciated; potential creation of an official “dead week” policy; there are four main criteria that we need to meet to implement the hybrid meeting space: AV difficulties, if Senate/Assembly Scribes find it difficult to take notes in a hybrid format, the COVID-19 Omicron variant, and lacking in-person attendance.

  2. Laura Skomerza asked if we could personally name the professor involved in this, Taite explained that we took a more general approach with this declaration so as to not violate any university policy. Grace also mentioned that any calls to action we have are difficult to accomplish because this is a tenured professor. She also added that if there is anyone who would like to file a complaint, she recommended reaching out to Amaia or herself to provide you with resources that could help with that.
  3. Graf wanted to apologize for the lack of notification about the declaration ahead of the meeting and wanted to clarify that he would not be going into the Senate breakout room since he sponsored the declaration.
  4. Taite facilitated the Senate discussion. Taite asked if it would be helpful to pull up the declaration as a screen share, Amber mentioned that she personally did not have any discussion about it and feels like this declaration is important to bring up in light of everything that has happened recently.
