Safe Sport Education & Orientation Policy

(1.0)        Introduction

The BC Senior Baseball Association believes in fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for participants. The purpose of this policy is to document a process for how participants will be educated and oriented on Baseball BC Safe Sport policies.

(2.0)        Application

This policy shall apply to individuals participating in all baseball activities directly organized by the BC Senior Baseball Association, such as but not limited to:

• Provincial Championships
• National Travel

(3.0)        Education & Orientation of Athletes & Parents/Guardians

In advance of participating in any baseball activity directly organized by the BC Senior Baseball Association, athlete and coaches shall be emailed a note indicating the BC Senior Baseball Association’s commitment to Safe Sport, a link to its Safe Sport webpage, and information on how they can report Safe Sport concerns.
