COURSES

This course is focused on the learning and production of game design which includes learning  some of the basics and principles of creating simulated environments, props, assets,  characters and more. Students will attain multiple abilities to create different assets for game  production and will also explore a wide variety of design, layout, composition, cinematography,  lighting and animation techniques. We will learn about pre-production and aspects of the  process such as reference gathering, concepts, & storyboards. We will also take a field trip  around the campus to study materials, textures, lighting and more. Then we will move into the  production phase and finish the project that was chosen by each student with industry  techniques. We will also study quality work from the real work and engage in discussions.  Students must present their final at the end of the program. The project can be a character or  an environment or even a short animation or game level. Each student has the freedom to  conceptualize his or her ideas from the bottom up and professor will guide students so that  students can realistically finish.

Learn and experiment with industry techniques to create assets like props, characters or  simulated environments for game production and animation. Learn about the industry and  engage in feedback critiques. Create your own project for your portfolio.

Must have some passion and interest in the subject matter of animation and game design.
