Course and Curriculum Design: Online Learning Designers
Janet is the manager of the learning design team. Since 2014 she has been involved in developing the UCT MOOCs project. She is also part of a CHED research team exploring the value MOOC-takers living in Africa have found in open online courses. Her experience in educational design is wide ranging - including educational offerings for different audiences (older adults, students and working people), various purposes (such as public outreach through MOOCs and Summer School, professional development, short courses, popular education workshops) and forms of provision (face-to-face, blended and online). She has a masters degree in adult education and is passionate about widening access to education and creating opportunities for lifelong learning.
