Why do we study French?

To communicate in another language
To learn more about our first language
To learn more about the world and how other people live

Course Overview:

This course is an introduction to the French language and Francophone cultures. Students will practice reading, writing, listening and speaking within a cultural context. Students will be expected to demonstrate reading comprehension, write short simple paragraphs, listen to media and carry on simple conversations in French using basic functions of the language within real life contexts.

Important Information About Retakes:

Reserved for unusual occasions
Available for ap/ny grades only
A reflection/check-list form must be complete BEFORE the retake in order to be retake eligible
Arranged in advance to be taken before school or during win block (I am not at EMS during win block, make arrangements with me for this)
Must be completed within one week of the first quiz
Only two retakes are allowed per quarter
