Equity & Student Wellness Programs Coordinator

Great River School is committed to Montessori pedagogy for all levels of the school. As a Montessori Public Charter School, we are unique in our programming and mission. The school began in 2004 with the vision to serve adolescents ages 12-18.  Our elementary program has been open since 2012. The role of the guide is to further our mission to provide a quality Montessori education through inspiring learning environments and strong relationships based on respect for the gifts of each student.

Title: Equity & Student Wellness Programs Coordinator

Classification:  1.0 full-time, exempt regular salaried employee  - (compensation DOE)  

Reports to:  Program Directors & Head of School

General Description:

This position creates plans, writes lessons, and coordinates programs across grades 1-12 to address student wellness and community building in the following areas:

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Documentation of student equity & accessibility, healthy relationship practices, and health & sexuality education.

 

Execution of monthly pre-plans and reports on projects at each age group. Design of assessment metrics to identify

Monitoring of programs across ages and quarterly summaries of metrics on impact for the community of students, families, and employees.

Reports weekly to program directors. Included monthly in a meeting with program directors, Head of School and Dean of students.

Qualifications: 2+ years experience in school health planning, and/or social work, and/or equity programming around racial justice and inclusion of all identities in educational programs

Possible licenses or degrees:

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in social work, student programming, youth programming,

credential and experience in health and wellness educatio.

Experience and training in planning programs for youth ages 12-18, planning programs for children ages 6-12, and lesson planning for learning in the areas of social justice, equity & accessibility, health and wellness.

Understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges of a Montessori program serving ages 6-18.
