ABOUT OWWR IN KIND DONATIONS

Thank you for considering Once We Were Refugees for your in kind donations.  These donations are a very important part of our ministry.

ITEMS WE NEED MOST:

        Sewing Machines – new or used, must straight stitch and zig zag, must be in working      condition.          Portable preferred, No cabinets.  Please include power cords!

        Washable fabric-pieces 1 yard or greater

                Cotton or Cotton Poly Blend (Please no double knits)

                Spandex

                Oil Cloth

                No Wool

        Thread!!  New or recent purchase

DONATIONS

Gathering donations is an ongoing need.  In addition to the sewing items needs some suggested items are:

Hygiene items, Household Cleaners, Laundry detergent, Paper products like toilet paper, diapers, feminine hygiene products (no tampons),  these are items food stamps do not cover and are in great need!

HOW TO GET ITEMS TO US:

• Email us at: oncewewererefugees@gmail.com or call Toni Say at 816-213-0985. (We attempt to contact donors within 24 hours of receiving a message. )
• If you can drop off the donation, we will provide you an address as close to your location as possible and a best time to drop off.
• If you need items to be picked up, we will assign a volunteer to contact you and make those arrangements.  We ask that items be placed outside the home to minimize contact during this Covid -19 time.

DO YOU NEED A RECEIPT?

        We are a 501(c)(3) and would be happy to provide this to you.  Please just let us know when you contact us and we will have it ready.
