RE: Senior Class Trip
The 2025 Senior Class Trip to Walt Disney World has just been scheduled for April 3rd through April 6th, 2025. The cost of the trip will be $1,615. An electronic deposit of $615 is required by Monday, September 23rd 2024. All payments must be made electronically through the High School website beginning May 13, 2024. Link to Disney Payment If a student cancels after 11/18/24 without purchasing insurance, will be incurred and enforced by the travel company and may include up to the total package price. Therefore, it is highly recommended that students purchase optional trip insurance by the deadline of 10/14/24 should they need to cancel after this deadline. Every student must pay the deposit electronically, complete and submit the Commitment Form, and agree to attend a Mandatory Parent/Guardian-Student meeting. By submitting this completed form and paying the $615.00 deposit electronically by September 23, 2024, we wish to register for the 2025 Senior Class trip.
In addition to this commitment form, we have been provided with information that outlines what the trip includes, the payment schedule, the cancellation policy, the late payment penalties, and trip insurance.
We are aware that any unpaid monies due to cancellation or late payment constitute a financial obligation to the school district, and if unpaid, are subject to all associated penalties, including, but not exclusively restricted to participation in the 2025 commencement exercises.
We understand that our child could be prohibited from the trip at the high school administration’s discretion, due to discipline, police-involved issues, truancy (excessive absences or latenesses), or failing course grades in required courses with no money refunded.
Finally, we agree to attend one of the two scheduled meetings designed to disseminate final trip information, outline behavioral expectations, and collect emergency medical information. We understand that participation at one of these meetings is mandatory and is a prerequisite for participation on the trip. We will make arrangements to attend one of the scheduled meetings.

THIS FORM MUST BE TURNED IN TO MRS. VESPER IN THE SCHOOL COUNSELING OFFICE. BOTH THE DEPOSIT AND THE COMMITMENT FORM ARE REQUIRED TO CONFIRM A RESERVATION ON THE 2025 DISNEY TRIP.
MANDATORY PARENT/GUARDIAN-STUDENT MEETING:
All students and their parents/guardians are required to attend a mandatory pre-trip meeting. Two are scheduled for the convenience of the families. Attendance at one is required; however, the student and the parent/guardian may attend different meetings if schedules require. If there is a problem with these dates the parent/guardian must call Mrs. Vesper (215-830-1500) immediately. The meeting dates are Wednesday, February 26, at 6:00PM OR Monday March 3, 2025 at 6:00PM. Prior to the meeting, a packet including a behavioral contract and emergency medical information form will be sent to each student for completion.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If a student drops out of the trip, refunds are handled as follows. Notification of cancellation must be in writing from a parent or guardian and delivered directly to Mrs. Vesper in the School Counseling Office. Verbal notification is not acceptable.
Any student canceling after 11/87/24 who has not purchased insurance will incur penalties to be assessed by the travel company at the time of cancellation. This amount will vary by the date of the trip cancellation and may total the entire cost of the trip. If the student has purchased travel insurance prior to 10/14/24 the cancellation is for a covered reason, the family must submit their claim directly to Travel Insured for reimbursement but is still responsible for completing the payment schedule to Upper Moreland as outlined in this packet.
Students are strongly encouraged to purchase trip insurance prior to 10/14/24 through Travel Insured (please see additional information at the end of this packet).

LATE PAYMENT PENALTIES:
Upper Moreland High School is contracted to make regular payments to the tour operators, hotels, airlines, etc., therefore, prompt student payments as per the above schedule are required. A $25 late fee will be added to any payment not received by the deadline.

This letter contains information on how to purchase optional travel insurance for your students high school trip through Travel Insured.
Below is a link that will allow you to purchase the Group Travel Protection Plan for your trip. Rates are based on overall trip cost and not age. You will need to enter your full trip cost for accurate coverage. If interested in purchasing the student discounted travel insurance please click the link below to go direct to Travel Insured. Note: All payments, claims, questions will be done directly through Travel Insured. We are only providing the link if you want to purchase the insurance.
• DO NOT call to try and book since you may not get the student policy/pricing and your policy will not be linked to the group.
• Please make sure the policy you are trying to purchase is made through the link below to get the student pricing. DO NOT copy the below link and paste in a web browser. You MUST click the link below or you will NOT go to the correct student pricing. Below is a screen shot of what the correct screen looks like. If you are NOT on this page then you need to check the link you are clicking.
• The “Cancel For Any Reason” is an option as shown on the flyer. If the “Cancel For Any Reason” option is wanted, IT MUST be purchased within 14 days of when the initial deposit for the trip is due to the tour operator, “World Class Vacations”. There is a checkbox you can click to add this option. Once the checkbox is clicked, the insurance premium will auto update to the new premium cost including the cost for this added option. Please see below screenshot. Unfortunately this cannot be added at a later date and is regulated by the travel insurance company.
o If you are wanting to purchase the travel insurance outside the 14 day window, you can still purchase basic travel insurance coverage (ex-medical illness) up until you pay your final payment to the school. However it would not include the “Cancel For Any Reason” option.
o NO travel insurance can be purchased once final payment has been made to the school. If a family pays their trip in full as example at first deposit they will not be able to purchase the travel insurance.
You will be required to provide deposit/payment dates to Travel Insured. These will be the dates you make your payments to the school for deposits/final payment. Please refer to your school advisor on trip due dates for deposits and final payment. Please keep track of all payments made to the school, if a claim is placed later you will need to provide receipts to the insurance company (Example 9/21/24 Ck #275 for $500).
• IMPORTANT REMINDER: If the “Cancel For Any Reason” option is wanted, IT MUST be purchased within 14 days of when the initial deposit for the trip is due to the tour operator, “World Class Vacations” at
latest date.
Note: When purchasing a policy online, when asked for “initial trip deposit date” please
value the current date you are purchasing the policy but make sure you are purchasing prior to the date listed below. o Purchase by: 10/14/2024
