Field Prep Lead Instructions - Miller Field Set UP All divisions Spring 2025
SET UP: If you are the First Game of the DAY YOUR TEAM needs 2-3 volunteers to arrive 20 minutes before the schedule U5/U6 game or 30 minutes before the 8u-14U game.
- OPEN UP the ayso shed. COMBO ___________ Open up the PORTA POTTY
- Remove the Field Box labeled for your division ONLY; (14u is in a field bag labeled big field)
- REMOVE ONLY the flags for your field/division. 6U is in the rolling garbage bin. 8U and above use the STAND up flags.
- Take the net boxes for 8U to the field; for SPRING 2025, ONLY the METAL goals will be used. USE THE WHEELBARROW WITH THE ORANGE GOAL WEIGHTS FOR 8U. 14U USES THE BLUE WAGON WITH 14U GOAL WEIGHTS.
- Unlock the goals from the fence (CLOSE THE LOCK to prevent theft of lock itself)
- Move the goal to correct location on field, between hash marks; the 10/12U/14U goals have built in wheels.
- THE nets ARE PUT ON/TAKEN OFF FOR 8U (bungees), ONE NET BOX GOES BEHIND THE EAST GOALS ON FIELD 1 & 2.
- Stake down each goal 6U-2, 8U-3, 10U/12U-4, 14u-5; Or Option-use the goal weights in the wheelbarrow.
- Put the FIELD BOX LABELED BEHIND THE NEAREST GOAL. FIELD 2 FOR 6U (UNDER THE SCOREBOARD). BEHIND FIELD 1 FOR 8U. BEHIND the EAST goal on 14U. Behind the SOUTH GOAL FOR 10U/12U.
- PUT OUT THE KID ZONE SIGNS on Field facing the track TO MAXIMIZE THE MOST PARENT VIEWS. (6U kid zone sign placed just inside the gate of the 6U fields)
- PUT THE REFEREE FLAGS on Center mark, and after each game. (8U and above)
Take down: The Last teams of the day ;
- Unstake the goals and put the stakes into the FIELD BOX;
- REF FLAGS TO FIELD BOX
- Each team must HELP TAKE goals to the lock up area. THE 8U NETS/ref flags MUST BE PUT BACK INTO THE BIN AND PUT ON CORRECT SHELF IN SHED. THE EQUIPMENT (STAKES,, HAMMERS GO IN SEPARATE BIN!!)AND the staked KID ZONE sign to the shed.
- Take the corner flags and the FIELD BOX, OR BAG to the ayso shed.
- The u6U FLAGS go into the rolling bin in shed. (on the RIGHT side)
- Lock up the porta potty, shed and goals.
