Effective January 1, 2024

General Rules

If these rules do not specifically allow it, you should assume that it is not legal.

Marshaling:

All racers are expected to corner marshal and or assist the race director if unable to corner marshal due to physical conditions or age. For safety purposes, we recommend the minimum age be 10 years old. This is left up to the track owner and parent’s discretion.

Turn marshalls will be treated with respect at all times. Failure to do so will result in a warning. The second offense will result in disqualification for the race in which the infraction occurred.

Track Calls;

A “Track” call or “Rider” call is to be made under the following conditions.

If a car is in the slot and under power of another racer.

If a car is under the track, flies off of the track or is in an area of the track not easily reached by the corner marshal.

If the corner marshal is overwhelmed by a multi-car crash.

When a track call is made, the race director may, at his/her discretion, request the reason for the track call. If the race director determines it to have been unwarranted or in violation of the AWRA rules, the driver’s car will be moved to a position immediately past the lap counter before racing is resumed.

Race and Qualifying:

Qualifying will be left to the host store’s recommendations of time or a number of laps. The top qualifier will be determined by the fastest recorded lap or most laps made during this process.

Racing will be broken down into main events. Racers will be split as evenly as possible with a maximum of 8 racers for any main. The overall winner of the race will be the driver with the most laps from any of the main races. In the event of an equal number of laps completed, the racer with the most progress on the last incomplete lap when power is cut will be declared as the winner.

Race Fees:

Pit Pass - $5.00 The Pit Pass fee is to cover the track rental during the time between the doors opening and the beginning of the race.

Class Fee; $12.00 per car.

*These are suggested prices. We realize that if we are to have places to race, the raceways must stay open.

Tech Inspection:

Cars must be brought to the inspection table with the body off. After the body and chassis are determined to have passed, the body must be remounted at the table and must remain on the tech table except when racing or qualifying. After the body is remounted, it will be checked proper mounting cut, form, and fit. If a car fails tech for any reason, the racers will have the opportunity to correct the infraction before qualifying again, time permitting.

Bodies will be pulled from minimum .015 stock. The AWRA recommends .020 for Grand Prix bodies.. Bodies may be checked by micrometers during tech. Cars with bodies manufactured out of compliance will fail tech.

Bodies cannot be modified. This includes bending the spoiler to increase or decrease the spoiler angle and’or slanting the body to increase the spoiler height..

The maximum spoiler height of Sportsman and Grand Prix bodies is not to exceed 1 1/2". The measurement is taken at the highest point of the body, on the tech block at legal chassis ride height. The front of the body must retain some vertical fascia. For bodies that have no front fascia (C100) the cut line is the horizontal mold line.

Motors may not be opened by any method.  Tech officials will fail any car presented that shows evidence of motor disassembly or other tampering.

Chassis must remain as a “one piece” unit.  No floating or hinged components allowed. Scratchbuilt chassis are not allowed. Rod and tubing may be used for bracing only, not for general construction. Chassis must remain unmodified with the exception of bracing.

Adjustable bushings are legal for all classes.

In all disputes, the tech inspector’s ruling shall be final.

All chassis, motors, and tires will be marked in tech. All podium finishers will be subject to a post-race inspection.
