Note - courses are now accessed via the U.S. Soccer Learning Center to meet the SafeSport, and Concussion Training Requirements.
Next, go to https://learning.ussoccer.com/safe-soccer and if you do not have an account please create one using the same email you used during the Adult/CORI registration process for Massachusetts Youth Soccer.
Here you will go to your Dashboard and complete all of Phase 1, there is no need to do Phase 2 or 3.
SafeSport is the only course where you will be redirected to another site.
We are all required to complete SafeSport each year, there will be a full course or a refresher course to complete, and you must use the same email you used for your account in both Massachusetts Youth Soccer and the US Soccer Learning Center
Safesport Login: https://safesporttrained.org/#/public-dashboard
You are required to complete 1 x SafeSport course or refresher for each Fall-Spring ‘soccer year’. For example if 24-25 is your first year completing these requirements, you will just complete the SafeSport Trained - U.S. Soccer Federation Course. If this is your second year, and you completed that course for 23-24, you must take Refresher 1 to stay current on SafeSport.
Only complete the next course in sequence to stay up to date, do not complete ALL of the courses in one go. Completing all, will reset you to the main (longer!) course for the following year instead of the short refreshers.
The SafeSport course completion schedule should be as follows (year 1 = the first time you are completing these requirements).
Year 1 | SafeSport Trained - U.S. Soccer Federation |
Year 2 | Refresher 1 |
Year 3 | Refresher 2 |
Year 4 | Refresher 3 |
Year 5 | SafeSport Trained - U.S. Soccer Federation (resets to the initial course) |
Year 6 | Refresher 1 |
Year 7 | Refresher 2 |
Year 8 | Refresher 3 |
And so on in above sequence…
Go back to the US Soccer Learning Center login, and select your “Dashboard” select “Details” under “Safe Soccer Phase 1” Here you should see that SafeSport is complete. All of Phase 1 must be completed, the Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments, covers your concussion requirement
Only complete phase 1, no need to go any further.
Log back into US Soccer Connect (MA Youth Soccer platform) @ https://mayouthsoccer.sportsaffinity.com/Foundation/Login.aspx?sessionguid=
And click on “Certificates”
After you have completed all the steps your Certificate page should look like this:
Once all steps are completed, coaches receive a printed credential/lanyard from the club that you must have at all practices/games/clinics. Returning coaches that still have their plastic lanyard sleeve may be sent the new credentials via email/PDF to print at home, new coaches will receive their lanyard and printed credential at pre-season coaches meetings/uniform pick up.
