Pokemon Polka Aqua 2 version 1.3 detailed walkthrough by Olivia R. (note this is a ROM hack, I do not own this and will not distribute this hack, but I am the author of this walkthrough so if you use it credit me). As a reminder, you need a clean Pokemon Ruby ROM (please Google it), a patching utility like Lunar IPS and a GBA Emulator (I used VBA) to play Pokemon Polka Aqua 2 (you can also google a pre-patched rom too).

I will list things that need to be listed, including Pokemon locations, trainer info, and items in shops. Also some detailed trainer info as well. Note that if you are looking for just an ordinary guide, you can find it on the rom hack page. If you are looking for type changes or evolution changes, those are covered on the main page too. Also, this will cover the base game of Polka Aqua 2, not the “lite” version.

Notable things in this hack:

-Several mons from future generations (Gen-4 - Gen-8)

-Certain moves have changes to them (for example Strength is now a Rock type move, and Air Slash, a move that debuted after Gen-3, shows up)

After the intro you're in front of your house. Inside in front of your room is a Fresh Water, and there's even a PC here, but you cannot use it yet. Upstairs, the PC there has another Fresh Water, and you need to set the clock. After doing so, head outside. The Pokemon outside (aside from Azurill) are the ones you can find in the grass to the south, but some Azurills block it. Enter the other house, for those who played the original Polka Aqua, both you and this new rival that you need to talk to are the brother/sister of the former champion. Regardless of gender, the current rival here is named Riley. After leaving, head north to save the professor named Palm, the starters you can pick are Spheal, Sandshrew, and Shinx, and you're up against a Skitty.

After the battle, you're back at the lab with both Palm and Beech. Head to Route 1 now.

The setting here is from The Music Man. Harold Hill is near the top. Talk to Prof. Palm and he'll upgrade your Pokedex to National level, give you a free Rotom, and a PokeNav. Do the catching tutorial with Wally, he has an Alolan Vulpix this time and the Ralts he gets is always gonna be shiny. But the twist is, since Wally has done this before and this is a sequel game, you get the shiny Ralts. Norman then tells you that Stars Hollow is the location of the Trainer's School. You can now head to Route 4 (no you cannot get the Victini yet).

You need to enter Miss Patty's Dance School. It's a pseudo-gym with the Bug type being dominant.

Fair warning, every single major trainer will have full teams, competitive movesets, and competitive items. Afterwards is a town meeting. In the previous game there were doubts about the place being a gym, now there's doubts about it being a trainer's school and that it should be a gym once again. They vote to stop the gym. The trainer's school will remain as it is.

It's not made apparent what to do next. The best hint is to talk to Norman, who mentions the gym in Riverdale, where a friend of his is at. Go to Riverdale now. The gym is open and specializes in the Ground type. It looks like the Lavaridge Gym. Take the SE hole to find a healing Chansey.

Ignore the bag near the berries, it’s a post-game thing. It’s also a good time to mention that if you go on the ROM hack website, you can look at the Pokemon info in a spreadsheet to see all the major changes. I say this because both Plusle and Minun (the twins use these) have Levitate and have no weaknesses. A few other Pokemon like Magnemite also have changed abilities so they lack certain weaknesses or they play much differently (many mons in-game have Serene Grace and some when evolving have the main elemental punches).

Nothing to do in the Tree Hill Game Corner apart from buying a doll and do some prizes.

If you wanted to know why Plusle and Minun have Levitate as an ability, a woman in the PokeCenter tells you why, because two pranksters from Hogwarts used a spell to make them levitate, and it affected most of the population.

The Miami Metro Police Department is where the Oceanic Museum is, and the Oceanic Museum, currently under renovation, is where the Pokemon Fan Club would be. You can visit the market to buy several secret base decorations (all for P500), some Poke Balls (ranging from P200 to P500), all mail for P50, all berries for P50, vitamins for P2000, X items for P1000, and dolls for P2000 or P3000. The actual fan club is south of the police department, and you can get a free Soothe Bell here. Let's check out Route 8 to the south.

You can watch History of the World Part 1 on TV, but talk to Shawn to get started. After the small chat, enter the PD and press A to automatically walk to the scene. A murder mystery is being discussed and Psych is called in. Leave and press A to walk to the beach, where more discussion is had and Shawn figures out who the killer is. You'll be walked to the lighthouse, then the Mash and Grab Truck. Apparently a Pokemon is behind it, a wild Diancie Lv30! After this, return to the PD and talk with Chief Vick to receive HM01 Cut. Enter the Desert Ruins on Route 9, head two spaces SE from the Braille and use Strength to meet Regirock at Lv70. Now enter the Island Cave on Route 21 and inspect the Braille, wait two minutes, and you will get to Regice at Lv70. Also, return to the Halliwell Manor and go back to the basement, heading to where you battled Zankou and Darryl. The NW corner has a Hyper Potion, and the NE corner has a Twistedspoon. Okay, now we can head to Washington D.C. It's south of Route 18.

But Olivia asks you to go to the OPA building, just south of the White House. Enter there and talk to Quinn. Yeah, the group here is interrupted yet again, somehow the president has been abducted somehow. Quinn mentions Olivia may be at the Washington Monument, so go there (head to the south side to head around the wall) and talk to Olivia in front of the monument. She has Mellie's phone, but it might be best to see if Mellie Grant is at the White House, so go back there now. Inside is a Chansey for healing and Cyrus, whose attitude is different. He wants the Oval Office for himself. Battle him and his Ice types.

On Route 11, scale the waterfall and get the hidden Max Revive near the bag (once again, you can't do anything about this bag). Now head to Meteor Falls and scale that waterfall. No items so far.

Hall of Fame, credits, and we’re back in Newtown. We are currently in the post-game, meaning a ton of stuff has opened up. There are three main sidequests, one involving the Time Stone [TIME], the PokeEpidemic [EPID], and Grass Jewel 3 [GRAS]. These sidequests have to be done in that order. You can of course find legendary locations in [LEGE] and any post-game battles [POST] as well, but many are actually locked until the sidequests are done. Go to whichever section you need to.

Get the S.S. Ticket by going downstairs. Check the TV to make Latios a roaming encounter.

You can get TM29 Psychic from Wally's father in River City.

You can enter the Enchanted Forest from Storybrooke.

In Hogwarts, go to the Forbidden Forest. This is a long, winding maze area that is dark, but the paths are small and mostly linear. At the first fork, go east, at the next, go west, and at the next, go west. Head east at the next three forks to find the bag. This is a shiny Mimikyu. It is holding the Antenna.

TIME STONE [TIME]

Board the ship in either San Francisco or Miami and go to the other location (not Battle Tower) to start battling trainers here. You can get TM46 Leaf Blade in the NE cabin, Leftovers in the basement, talk to Prof. Palm in the third cabin who hints at completing the PokeDex, and Phil Coulson in your cabin. Make sure to talk to him in particular.

Make sure to talk to Coulson to advance this plot. You can also take the boat to the Battle Tower (where you can find a shiny Charmander to catch with the ScorchedFire item). Keep this place in mind for later.

After talking to Coulson, head to Portland. Take the long path to the east and you will find a teleporter. This leads you to a place known as Central City, where you are inside S.T.A.R. Labs. You can head straight south to a teleporter taking you to National City. Leave the building, then go to the NE corner to find a hidden Moon Stone. Go to the NW corner to find a hidden Sun Stone. The large building is Catco Worldwide Media, and there’s a hidden Rare Candy one tile west of the sign. Catco Worldwide Media has a breakroom on the second floor which is currently blocked off. You can see an item in there, so remember it for later.

Return to S.T.A.R. Labs now. You're supposed to talk to the man here. However, we can explore the city for what it has now. Go outside and at the NE corner is a hidden Nugget. Head back inside (there's nothing else to do anyways aside from a PokeCenter, the SW path is blocked by an Azumarill) and talk to the guy here, named Cisco. He sees some relation with someone he knows, but in the middle of it all, the Reverse Flash arrives and challenges you to a battle!

NOTE: all of his mons have an Ace Striker.

Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne) then runs after the Flash shows up; it seems he's after the Time Stone. Somehow you have it still. Remember when you went to a secret bunker in Los Angeles where you battled Wyatt and Lucy for the first time? That's how you got this item.

Head back to the portal out of S.T.A.R. Labs to Portland, then go to Los Angeles. In front of the bunker is an item. It's...just a Poke Ball. As you do, Reverse Flash shows up and you battle him again.

I'd post his team here, but it's actually the exact same team that was mentioned above. So it's the exact same battle as before. Remember his entire team has Ace Strikers and is speed-based. Beat him again and he'll try to do something involving your family. He's thinking when to get it and not where.

Go back to Portland and take the teleporter to S.T.A.R. Labs. Head left and when you can't anymore, press A. You'll head back to Cisco, Barry Allen, and Caitlin, explaining that Reverse Flash attacked again. Sara Lance shows up, explaining something Gideon mentioned about something involving S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. They'll use the Waverider and you'll automatically head to S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ on your Earth. Head inside and press A to find the old team (Wyatt, Rufus, and Lucy) questioning Phil Coulson. And Thawne comes in yet again. Coulson says this is why the Time Stone cannot stay here, and Barry gets everyone out.

You'll battle Thawne again, and it's the same exact battle mentioned earlier for the third time.

Afterwards Sara appears behind Thawne and Barry locks him up in the Waverider. After Barry takes Thawne away, Maria Hill shows up asking who you are and why you have the Time Stone. After an explanation, Maria takes the Time Stone. She's gonna go and hide it somewhere, and Sara takes you back to S.T.A.R. Labs. That ends this post-game sidequest.

Note that you can now access Star City to the west of Central City. There's nothing of importance there.

POKEEPIDEMIC [EPID]

Head back to Portland via the teleporter and you'll see a news report happening. Talk to the reporter who recognizes you as the current champion and talks to you about the current PokeEpidemic. They talk about how they are doing research in Seattle as of late. Of course, since this is the first you've heard of it, you got nothing.

But at least you can head to Seattle and enter the hospital to the NW. Meredith Gray is right in front of you and explains about a lethal strain of Pokerus, which actually also infects people as well as Pokemon. She has a small treatment that she can deliver to three people, but wants your help.

First, head to Route 3 from River City and go south to find a purple-haired guy who is sick. You'll tell him to go to Seattle.

Next is Route 11. Head behind Lanette's house to the berry patch to find the girl who needs help.

Finally is Route 14, go north from Philadelphia and go north on the east side until before the rock. Walk through the grass and head north to find the woman who needs help.

Now that you have three people treated, return to Seattle and enter the hospital. Gray mentions that the first patient was found on Route 7. You need to go there now, and this actually opens up the Luthor Corp 33.1, which was closed until now. Head south from Tree Hill and surf east to reach it.

Deoxys then smiles after you win, and Lex disappears. You then have a chance to catch Deoxys Lv80. After the battle, the generator stops and the Pokerus cure that Lex has is on the floor. You automatically pick up the Pokerus Cure. The other item here is a Thunderstone.

Deliver the Pokerus Cure to Meredith Gray and she'll reverse-engineer it. You'll also receive ten Nuggets! This ends the PokeEpidemic quest.

GRASS JEWEL 3 [GRAS]

Now head to Eastwick. A Poke Ball is in the middle of town. Yes, a Poke Ball. This will trigger the next post-game quest. If you played Pokemon Grass Jewel and Grass Jewel 2, the characters that come in after the quake will be familiar. The middle one is Prof. Maple, who's so happy to get out of whatever he was in earlier and immediately runs off for his research. Talk to the other two. The bottom one is Evan, and the top one is Emmett, who's actually Prof. Maple's son, trying to prevent his own father from causing calamities (so this is a spoiler for the Grass Jewel games). He hints that it has something to do with the "ocean".

This means we should go to some place close by. How about Miami? We haven't been in the Oceanic Museum until this point, so let's see what's going on there. Not much is changed from the base Oceanic Museum, except for Maple being on the second floor. Talk to him. He will challenge you, but will ask for assistance first, as two Hydra agents come in. Watch out, there are three battles back-to-back.

Before the Maple battle, Evan actually arrests the previous two Hydra agents. And yeah, Maple is surprised that every world has powerful children. Anyways, Maple already found what he needs, so he's going to go someplace that involves space. Hmm, how about Meteor Falls? Go there, go up the waterfall, and you'll see a Hydra agent to battle.

This battle is actually the same as the first Hydra agent from the Oceanic Museum. So look at that data.

After the battle, go through and head to the third area. Find the next Hydra agent, which will be the same battle as the second Hydra agent from the Oceanic Museum.

Take the ladder behind the second agent to find Maple. Once again you're too late, as Maple has found the Spacial Sphere. The artifact he had back in the Oceanic Museum was the Temporal Sphere. Maple will challenge you. Once again, this is a repeat of the previous battle at the Oceanic Museum.

His ultimate goal is to get the god Pokemon awakened, destroy everything, and rebuild everything from scratch. Too extreme. Emmett tries to stop him, but Maple leaves and goes to Azurill Isle Cave. We have to stop him from summoning Arceus.

In Azurill Isle Cave, head to the floor with the boulder to find the first Hydra agent. Yes, it's the same battle a third time.

After that, go to the cave where you battled Kai. The second Hydra agent is at the NE end. And yes, this is the same second battle as before.

Go into the new cave and you'll find a small sliding puzzle. Go to the SW end first to find a bag with Kyurem Lv80. Now head north and talk to Emmett to try and stop his father. With Arceus, his team is a lot more different and tougher!

Even if you win, are we still too late? Not quite. Emmett pulled out a trick, the Grass Jewel itself. This removes Arceus from Maple's control and sends it into a deep slumber. He even says only the Azure Flute can wake it up now. In comes Evan, Coulson, and Prof. Palm, with Coulson placing Maple into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody in our world. Afterwards, Emmett gives you a Master Ball. He and Evan will be in Portland for later battles.

And thus completes the entire post-game sidequests. More things open up after you do all these (not Arceus yet, remember you need the Azure Flute).

LEGENDARY LOCATIONS [LEGE]

This section covers all of the locations of the legendaries in Polka Aqua 2 that have not been covered in a previous section. The first few can be caught before starting the post-game sidequests.

Latios (Lv40) is a roaming encounter you can get by checking the TV in your house after the Hall of Fame.

You can get Regigigas if you caught the first three Regis. Head to Route 19, south, then west to a diving spot. Dive, head west, surface, and head north to the cave to find it at Lv80.

On Route 23, head south and SE, then north and on this island, go through the trees to find the bag that has Azelf Lv70.

On Route 26, go to Mirage Island and find the bag there to get Uxie Lv70.

You can explore the Sky Pillar just to the west of Mirage Island.

In the Abandoned Ship, you can dive in as if you were going to the secret Storage Key area. There's a new opening where you can find Lugia Lv70.

In the currents part of Route 26, go to where the Sealed Chamber entrance would be in R/S/E and inspect the bag to get Mesprit Lv70.

You can go to Washington D.C. and talk to the guy west of the White House to get to S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. There, talk to Coulson who will give you an egg containing Manaphy. With it, you can breed for Phione.

In Victory Road, go as if you were going to the NW ladder, but go around the steps leading to it, then the ones to the north. Go east, south, then west, then north up two steps to reach a new chamber which has Regidrago Lv80.

In New View Tunnel, a new opening is to the NE, which has Regieleki Lv80.

The rest of these legendaries I think require the completion of the post-game sidequests.

During the Grass Jewel 3 quest, you can get Kyurem in the SW corner of Arceus’ cave at Lv80.

Immediately outside Azurill Isle Cave after the Grass Jewel 3 quest is Suicune at Lv75.

The Victini outside Wally's house in River City can now be battled at Lv75.

On Route 18, you can now head behind the Berry Master's house. Here is Mt. Inferno. Entei Lv75 is at the top. Remember the lava pit for later as well.

At the top floor of the Halliwell Manor, you can read the Book of Shadows to summon Marshadow Lv75.

On Route 15, you can go to the north pond and across from it, there's a bag hidden behind tall grass on the south end. This has Zarude Lv70.

At the north end of Route 14, cross the bridges using the Acro Bike and inspect the bag to get Thundurus Lv70. On the same route, head to the Acro Bike bridge near the south end and find the bag on the other side, containing Virizion Lv70.

In Philadelphia, go to Palm's lab on the top floor of his house, go behind the computer on the west side and on a tile above the books, you will find a hidden Polkadot Bow. Be sure to keep this for later. Also go to the NE corner to find a hidden Radio Stone. Inspect the machine just south of it to find Zeraora Lv75.

On Route 11, you can go between the trees south of the Fossil Maniac's home to find Tornadus Lv70 in a bag.

In National City, enter Catco Worldwide Media, go to the second floor, and enter the break room you can now enter. Inspect the leftmost bookshelf on the left side to get a Book of Rao. The item that is in this break room is a Magma Stone. With this, go back to Mt. Inferno and go to the crater. Throw the Magma Stone in to summon Heatran Lv80.

Enter New View Tunnel and go through the middle exit to the south. Climb the rocks to get Raikou Lv75.

In Chicago, you can now enter the Willis Tower. It's another Sky Pillar. Bring the Mach Bike and Repels.

The first two floors are set up like the last few in Sky Pillar. Wheel your bike to the middle of the north end and fall in the middle to access the middle staircase. The next couple of floors have more cracked floors and are much harder. You want to once again get to the middle of the north end and fall, and the areas with two safe tiles can help out if you need to rest. On the third set, almost all of the floor is cracked. Again, fall near the middle of the north end into a single hole. Fourth set is an exercise in zigzagging, where the corners are places to catch your breath. Make it to the north end and fall where the two holes next to each other are. Fifth set, almost all of the floor is cracked. It might be better to go along the outside edge to make it to the north end; again, fall at the two holes. The sixth set, again all the floor is cracked and there's a wall on the right side to get around; fall at the two holes at the top again. Seventh pattern has lots of cracked floors but at least one safe area at the south end, though getting around the SW part is hard. Fall at the two holes and climb up. The eighth section has zigzag patterns but two safe locations to stay at, get to the north end how you can. You must fall into the middle hole at the north end and not the two holes this time. Finally, you can reach Ho-Oh Lv75. It is holding a Sacred Ash.

The Island Cave NW of Hawaii is now open.

On Route 22, you can get Type: Null Lv70 from a small island near the east side (before Route 8).

In the maze of Route 19, head into the middle (a spiral pathway will let you know where to go). The bag here has Landorus Lv75. You must have encountered Tornadus and Thundurus prior to this.

Since you got the Azure Flute in Philadelphia, return to Azurill Isle Cave and go to where you found Arceus. You can now get it at Lv85. (NOTE: I believe after encountering Arceus, the tide mechanic resets, so now the Azurill Isle Cave will have its tide mechanic from now in instead of being locked into low tide)

In Hogwarts, go to the castle and head for the Chamber of Secrets in the NW end.

On Route 10, go NE of the Glass Workshop to find a bag with Cobalion Lv70. You can find a hidden Black Sludge to the north of the bag after the encounter.

On Route 9, get on the high ground at the north end with the Mach Bike and enter the open area to the east. Inspect the bag to find Terrakion Lv70 in front of The Tomb of Milo Giacomo Rambaldi.

Assuming you got those two as well as Virizion, you can now get the bag on the east side of Route 2. This has Keldeo Lv75.

On the second floor of Regina's mansion, you can sleep in a bed and battle Darkrai Lv70. In the Charmings' house, go upstairs and sleep in the left bed to awaken Cresselia Lv70.

On the second floor of the Crashdown Cafe in Roswell, go to the bag in the SE corner to find Cosmog Lv10.

To get the Tapu guardians in Hawaii, you need to first become the gym leader in Hawaii. After that,  leave an evolutionary stone as an offering to each one. Tapu Lele requires a Sun Stone. Tapu Fini requires a Water Stone. Tapu Bulu requires a Leaf Stone. Tapu Koko requires a Thunder Stone. All are at Lv70. And after catching them all, you can inspect the boulder to free Necrozma, at Lv85. This requires you to have caught Cosmog, by the way.

In Sunnydale, first get a King's Rock, which you can buy just about anywhere with a PokeMart. Go to the white rock and offer the King's Rock to battle Calyrex Lv75. To get the two steeds, you will need an Ice Stone and a Dusk Stone. Go to Azurill Isle Cave, enter during low tide, and go to the cave floor with lots of Azurills. The bag is at the SE end. Offer the Ice Stone to get Glastrier Lv75. Go to Sky Pillar next and on the outside portion, the bag is right there. Offer the Dusk Stone to fight Spectrier Lv75. You need to have encountered Calyrex to get the steeds.

In the underwater area between Rosewood and Storybrooke, head all the way north and surface. Climb the waterfall and get the Ultra Ball in the middle. A Spell Book is in the east dead end. If you see a Wingull, you need to have the Polkadot Bow in your inventory. There are two teleporters here. Take the left one to access Sky Garden. This is where you can get Shaymin Lv75! The right teleporter leads to a special location known as The Valley (if you don’t see it, finish the Hawaii gym subquest). Here, the NW bag makes your next encounter become shiny, but only once (this applies to any encounter, including trainer battles! Plus if you save and reload after using the bag, this will not work). The truck allows you to enter Philadelphia, and there's a shiny Eevee Lv45 here too with a Lucky Egg. To the SE is the Farmer's Market, the ultimate shop, which includes specific evolutionary items for mons like Shaymin or Hoopa.

You can go to the Enchanted Forest and enter the castle on the west side. There, go to the NE steps, go up to the next floor, and you can catch Mew at Lv75. Head back to the first floor, head for the NW steps, go up to the next floor, and somewhere north of the Charizard doll (two tiles west of the bed) is a hidden Light Mud.

In Enchanted Forest, there are two exits to the NE. Take the left one, go up the waterfall, and inspect the tree to find Xerneas Lv80.

Take the second exit now. Go through the maze, then surf across to a ship. You will enter Neverland. This is an incredibly annoying maze full of invisible wall tiles and glitchy-looking tiles. Follow my walkthrough closely.

Head south, then west to the wall.

Take the teleporter and take the long, zigzag path all the way to the north. The bag has Yveltal Lv80. Take either teleporter to return to the main area of Enchanted Forest.

In Washington D.C., you can enter S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ by talking to a guy west of the White House. On the third floor, talk to Thor. Assuming you've been romping through the post-game, you should be worthy of wielding Mjolnir, which, well, translates to actually acquiring it as an item. According to the video guide, this means that your lead Pokemon has to have maximum friendship (or relatively close to it), and you actually need Mjolnir for some other things later too. On the fourth floor, the NW corner has Celebi Lv75. At the SW corner is a Nugget. Inspect the nearby computer here to get the Tesseract.

In Victory Road, on the second floor, go all the way to the SE ladder. Take it to find a bag with Palkia Lv80.

On the third floor, go all the way to the NE ladder and take it to find a bag with Dialga Lv80.

Also on the third floor, surf at the north end and find the ladder on the island here. This leads to a dark cave with Ditto encounters. From the ladder, take the north path at the first fork and west at the next two forks. Head to the NW and NE corners and inspect the rocks to get two Everstones, then go onto the raised platform in the middle to find Mewtwo Lv80. It is holding a Berserk Gene.

Go to the SW part of the second floor, then jump the west ledge and go to the ladder. On the other side is a bag with Giratina Lv80. It will be in Origin form.

Once you got the Mjolnir, return to the large castle in Enchanted Forest and inspect the bags to the NE and NW of the castle to encounter Zamazenta Lv80 and Zacian Lv80 (the Mjolnir needs to actually be in your bag, not on a Pokemon as I found out).

After you get those two, you can get this next one. Go to the SE side of Enchanted Forest, enter the cave to Wonderland, then navigate the maze to about the center. Inspect the bag to encounter Eternatus Lv85.

For this one, you need to do some Pokemon Contests and get to the Master Rank in all five categories. You also need to win with a high score so that paintings of your Pokemon (can be any one) are in the second floor of the San Francisco Art Museum. Talk to the curator once you do this to get the Glass Ornament. This makes a bag appear to the north with Meloetta Lv50. It is actually possible to get this before beating the main story if you do the contests early.

On Route 11, once you can scale the waterfall, you may have seen a bag on top of it, with a lot of steam coming out and being told to prove yourself as a trainer. What does this mean exactly? You need to have a streak of 50 wins at the Battle Tower, that's what. Make sure to also get a Silver Shield from the president of the Battle Tower while there too, which is the award for 50 wins, then return to Route 11 and inspect the bag to get Volcanion Lv80.

If you fill up the entire Pokedex, talk to Prof. Palm on the boat between Miami and San Francisco to receive a free Lapras. This is a shiny and it holds the Plasma Drive. Take it off the Lapras and bring it to New York City. Enter Luthor Corp. and talk to the fossil resurrection guy. Hand the Plasma Drive over and Genesect Lv60 will attack.

He hints that the son is someone who prefers having a Pokemon go back and forth from base to evolved form and that he works with a professor in Newtown. But in the middle of this conversation, Derek shows up with Prof. Palm. Turns out that the professor is the master's son after all, and his research has paid off even through this arguing. You'll have yet another battle with Prof. Palm now.
