LRYC Membership Application Guide
Welcome... we will do our best to help you through the application process.
Your first task will be to decide what level of membership fits your needs.
It is important to understand that we are a private club owned and operated by the members. The facilities and maintenance are a shared resource and the more you are likely to use a resource the more you are likely to pay. Next step will be to fill in and submit an online application forms. You will need a current member to recommend your application or reference from another club. The application will then be reviewed by the Membership Chair for issues. Once we agree the application is in order, payment will be accepted. Then your application will be reviewed by the Executive for approval. Once approved the Membership Chair will inform you and post links to further info that will meet your expectations. You will then be issued links to the Membership database.
There are five levels of membership, Senior to Student, with Senior having all privileges.
If you own a boat investigate Senior, or Affiliate.
If you wish to store, moor or rent a slip annually you must apply for Senior.
If you wish to socialize only, investigate Shore, Student or Affiliate.

Next step will be to fill in and submit an online application form. One for the member and additional forms for each boat you own.
You will need a current member to recommend your application. If you own a boat you will need, its length, beam (width) and draft (how much water needed to float). Entries on the form marked with a * are required and if no entry is made the “Submit” button will not comply. If you are not sure, enter “unknown” or select a best guess and the info can be updated later. We will review your application and send you a detailed price quote for your approval.
Once we agree the application is in order payment will be accepted.

Cheques are also accepted by mail or at the club’s bar during the summer.
We will send your application to the Executive for approval. Executive approval process is usually less than a month. Once approved the Membership Chair will inform you and post links to further info that will meet your needs. You will then be issued links to the Membership database.
By default we will assign you a Senior member chaperon for you first Friday night Social. The Membership Chair will also announce you at the first social you attend.
