Think of some examples to explain the difference shown in the figure. (The trainer has to probe and discuss the situation, at this moment, with the trainee).

Pick the negative/unproductive thoughts one by one and rephrase them (With positive and productive ones) in a way that will change how you feel about the situation.

Think about your reaction and how you communicated at that moment. (The trainer can facilitate by explaining the difference between emotions, feelings, and temperament. Also, share examples to guide the respondent).

Decide some situations and practice with the trainer/facilitators to understand if you have learned the skill correctly or not.
