EUROPE BEHAVIOUR CONTRACT

Students who sign up for the 2022 Europe Trip will also be agreeing to the following behavior contract. Your signing up with EF Tours is the same as signing this contract. If you do not agree with the stipulations in this contract do not sign up for the trip. Students attending the trip will be representatives of the school and need to be able to demonstrate appropriate behavior not only while on the trip but in the time leading up to the trip as well.

This contract will detail the steps that will be followed for students who cannot live up to the expectations set forth by the organizing teachers and the school.

Student Name: _______________________________________________________________________________

This will be a cumulative process. Offenses can be combined over the duration of the contract and will lead to progressive movement through the steps.

STAGE 1: STUDENT DISCUSSION

These are considered minor offenses (repeated skipping, consistent lack of academic effort, persistent disrespect, repeated offensive language, and continued blatant disrespect for school rules). Students will have a discussion with one of the organizing teachers and it will be detailed on the form. Parents will be notified via email or call regarding the discussion

STAGE 3: STUDENT-PARENT-ADMINISTRATION DISCUSSION

The student has continued to disregard the above mentioned minor offenses. There are also specific offenses that will advance students immediately to this stage: bullying and vaping/smoking outdoors on school property. As this is the third time we have had to address the issue then parents and administration will be part of the discussion with an in-person meeting.

STAGE 4: PROBATION

The student has continued to disregard the above mentioned minor offenses and has passed through the previous stages. They can also be advanced immediately to this stage for: racism, verbal abuse of a student or teacher, vaping in the school, vandalism or violence. Students will have a meeting with parents, administration and the organizing teachers in person when the student reaches this point.

  1. If the student is immediately advanced to the probationary stage and then commit a minor offense they will be given two chances (minor offenses) before being removed. These will be dealt with by following stage 3 procedures.
