Benefits Offered by CultureSource to Fiscally Sponsored
Projects and Organizations

Services Provided by CultureSource

• Directly deposit funds into the project’s bank account for the purpose of paying and reimbursing key project managers
• Pay vendors who provide invoices and W9 forms for project expenses
• Provide fund balances on request, and quarterly
• Provide all legal documents required to enter into and renew fiscal sponsorship
• Provide legal document for funders of the project
• Review and approve project’s fundraising plan, to screen for possible conflicts with CultureSource funders
• Review project progress and offer resources such as information, contacts, and connections which may benefit the project
• Review receipts to ensure that expenses paid are part of the project budget and are appropriate in type and timing
• Renew fiscal sponsorship agreement annually, after reviewing project and fundraising progress, as well as confirm project’s purpose remains in alignment with CultureSource mission

Services NOT Provided by CultureSource

• Fundraise for the project (note: CS will assist in uploading grant requests and final reports to funders, which are written and organized by project personnel)
• Provide banking services (you must set up your own bank account and review your own statements)
• Handle cash
• Provide any type of insurance for the project’s creation, presentation, or promotion
• In any way conflate CultureSource, the organization, with the project or represent that the project is “ours”. It will be represented that the project is fiscally sponsored by CultureSource
