IoT North

IoT North has grown from humble beginnings as a Newcastle IoT meetup to now delivering a collaborated global attendee IoT monthly event, with over 3000 members and growing daily.

IoT North was created to evolve as a community of IoT specialists and enable businesses to have a North in where to start or evolve their IoT adoption and expansion.

Events

During in Covid19 lockdown, We host monthly virtual meetups utilising the great capabilities of Zoom sponsored by Newcastle University Business School and GOTO50.ai an ADLINK Technology Community website. We will be rotating the location of our events in the near future and will continue to host the events online as well. We host the recorded sessions on the IoT North Website for members that were unable to attend.

To deliver a well structured and  valuable experience we generally have 2 speakers, one start up/scale Up IoT company and an enterprise business speak about use cases and or technology examples. We will also enable businesses to present pain points within their business that could be solved leveraging IoT, this can become a mini hackathon to deliver outcomes for the business to consider.

In the coming months IoT North is also planning sponsored “infoBites” a short webinar series covering use cases marketed to vertical business to help drive adoption, They will be short 15 minute webinars sharing a use case, based on Problem, Solution and Result/Benefit, to give a clear and simple insight into the use case and how it helped a business.

As a speaker

We are really pleased that you have agreed to speak at the IoT North Event and would like to share some guidance for your talk and to also supply a little info in preparation for our social marketing campaign.

Planning for your talk - you may or may not be experienced in speaking at events, the IoT North members are a friendly and will be supportive group..

Here is a great website with some great pointers on how to prepare and deliver your talk, my key advice is keep it simple, https://www.eureka.org.nz/how-to-structure-your-talk

Members relate to experience and stories, we learn from things that go well and not so well, so please do share the whole experience.

If you are sharing a workshop we will work with you in structuring it out to ensure it is an enjoyable experience for our members.

Pre-Event

To help market your talk, we share across ours, and our partners social presence, as well as directly to our members.

Please complete this form with all the details required, this helps us market your talk for the maximum reach https://forms.gle/p43HPQisHk9v274H6

Thank you

We really appreciate you sharing your insight and we all look forward to your talk.

Regards
