Release Notes

This page lists the different changes (with and without tutorials) for every new release of the Creative Studio.

V4.2.1  Staging

• Login page update with Google and Microsoft login buttons

V4.2.0  Live

• New Scene based Animation Timeline!

• You can divide your animations to separate scenes, and trigger them in sequence or from any relevant element trigger
• Old animations will continue to work, and the timeline Scene 1 can be used exactly like the previous animation timeline
• Read more in our User Documentation

• Animation Timeline On / Off button is removed

• Animation is always “on” in the creative, if you have added animation blocks or keys in a scene

• More options for Animation looping

• Loop separate scenes individually
• Pause between loop times now available

• Editor does not fire Element Triggers or On Ad Load triggers. Use the Preview Page to see the triggers take action!
• 360 element is now available in Studio 4
• Fixed bugs:

• Handling of deleted Video elements so that triggered actions are also deleted
• Numbering of duplicated elements
• Texts and tooltips
• Image exports “Download All” button

• These features are experimental or only available in some parts of the UI
• We’d love to hear your feedback to improve them, as we will continue to work on them!

• Studio 4 Mid-Release, new features:

• Multiple select improvements (Beta feature)

• Set the same position and size for multiple elements selected
• Shows “Mixed” when the values are different for the selected elements, click to enter a value that will be applied to all the elements selected
• We will continue to add on more settings that can be changed similarly

• Groups

• Stacked Layout (Beta feature)

• Keeps your your elements horizontally or vertically together with a set gap

• Resize to fit (Beta feature)

• Recalculates the group marquee boundaries, similarly as when you add a new group around a selection of elements
• Does not work correctly with child elements that have

• Other anchors than top left

• Size set to “Auto-size” or “Auto-height”

• Text box

• New features for “Wrap” option (fixed px size text)

• Truncate

• Text will truncate with ellipses instead of wrapping

• Box resizing (in Size section)

• “Fixed size” - this is the default behavior, where the marquee size is as laid out in the current layout, and resizes according to the defined width & height
• “Auto-size” (Beta feature) - the textbox marquee will be the set to the height & width of your text
• “Auto-height” (Beta feature) - the textbox marquee will be the height of your text, but the width of the textbox is set in the Design panel

• Other Improvements

• Rearranged the controls (Bold, Italic, Case, Truncate)
• Added a label to font size selection to clarify the effect of Shrink / Wrap / Wrap+Shrink
• Pasting text in to the text box will paste as plain text

• Article Element (Beta feature)

• For text with complex HTML elements, like links, tables, and multiple styles or fonts in one marquee
• Always uses a fixed size font (similarly to “Wrap” option)

• Allows “Box resizing” in the Size section
• Styles can be set in the Article Editor (launched from Setup tab) and you can add more styles with CSS style sheets saved in the Media Gallery

• Font size drop-down update: users can input the custom font size in addition to the preset list of font sizes

• Use the arrow to open and close the Timeline edit state
• Use the toggle to decide whether to use timeline or not in this layout
• When editing your timeline, you are not able to change the design of your ad. You need to close the edit state and make the changes in the designs.

• Color Picker updated

• Eyedropper tool for picking a color from your creative
• Colors previously used in the creative show up on the top of the color picker
