THE EXPERIENCE

What can I expect from Banquet Soirée?

Banquet Soirée allows you to enjoy a gourmet and festive experience on a summer evening at the Old Port of Montreal! Get ready to discover the Banquet exhibition, which offers a multisensory, interactive and friendly experience around gastronomy. You will also have the option to go one step further with the film “Cuisine and science: A Journey to the Land of the Senses” in the company of several Michelin starred chefs.

How long does the experience last?

The exhibition visit lasts on average 45 minutes and the film lasts 1 hour and 5 minutes. When purchasing, you can choose to view the film at 6:15 p.m. followed by a visit to the exhibition, or you can visit the exhibition first followed by a viewing of the film at 7:45 p.m.

In what language is the exhibition presented?

The exhibition is presented in French and English.

In what language is the film presented?

The film is presented in French and subtitled in English.

Are the evenings accessible to everyone?

Yes, the evenings are open to all.

Can I give the experience as a gift?

Yes, it is possible to purchase a gift card online here.

Can I take photos or record during the exhibition and/or film?

Yes. We invite our visitors to take photos and videos for personal use only. We encourage you to mention #sciencesmtl.

Please note that the use of flashes and tripods is prohibited. Press photographs (and any other photography for professional use) must be approved in advance by a member of the Montreal Science Centre staff.

Is it possible to sit during the exhibition?

The site has a few benches on the exhibition route. However, please note that you will be required to wander from one area to the next to interact with modules. Despite this, the experience is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Do you offer guided tours?

We do not offer guided tours. However, our customer service agents will be there to attend to your needs or questions.  

Are the exhibition and film accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Yes, our facilities are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Can a deaf or hard of hearing person attend the exhibition and watch the film?

Yes, we offer written content (cartels) and subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing people in the exhibition.

The film only has English subtitles at the moment.

What are the prices, conditions of application and supporting documents to be presented on site?

Where can I get tickets?

We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance via our website:

What payment methods are accepted on site?

For your online purchase: we accept debit and credit cards, except AMEX.

For your on-site purchase: we accept cash, debit and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard and AMEX).

Can I reschedule my tickets?

No, the ticket is neither exchangeable nor refundable. For any questions please contact Fever customer service by pressing here  and indicating your ticket number. For more information, you can view our terms and conditions here.

What happens if I'm late? (for evenings)

Speak to a member of staff when you arrive at the Science Centre, our team will try to accommodate you according to availability.

Is it possible to transfer a ticket to someone else?

If you wish to transfer ownership of your ticket to another person, you can do so from your Fever account. Tickets are transferred individually. Once a ticket has been transferred, the action cannot be undone. Any order with a transferred ticket will become non-refundable.

Is it possible to buy a ticket at the door?

It is possible to purchase tickets on site. However, we strongly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance as places are limited!

Do I need to print my ticket?

It is not necessary to print your ticket, but you must have it with you upon arrival, in digital or printed form. We recommend the electronic ticket.

Can I come back a second time for free?

Please note that tickets are only valid for one entry on the date and time specified on your ticket.

Can you refund your tickets?

All Banquet ticket purchases are final sales. No refunds will be made and no orders can be canceled. For more information, please review the accepted terms of sale prior to purchase or review our terms and conditions here .

LOCATION & PARKING

Is there parking on site?

The Montreal Science Centre offers paid parking on site.

Are there lockers or a changing room on site?

Code lockers are at your disposal. Payment for lockers is made by credit card.

What are the closest metro stations?

The closest metro stations are Place d'armes and Champ-de-Mars.

Are toilets accessible on site?

Yes, we have toilets at your disposal as well as a hygiene room adapted for people with reduced mobility.

SHOP & CAFE

Can we eat there?

Yes, the Montreal Science Centre bar offers sandwiches, salads, snacks, snacks and cold drinks.

Is there a souvenir shop?

There is no store in the Science Centre.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Are service dogs allowed?

Assistance dogs are allowed in the exhibition.

Can we do the exhibition with a child in a baby carrier or stroller?

Yes, it is entirely possible to move around the exhibition with a baby carrier or stroller.

I have hearing aids, can I still take part in the exhibition?

Hearing aids may well be worn during the exhibition. There are no contraindications.

GROUPS

Are school group tours available?

Evenings are not suitable for school visits. However, the Banquet exhibit is an ideal activity for schools and day camps wanting to explore the presence of science in cooking and gastronomy. The Science Centre offers preferential rates for school groups and works with you to organize a fun and enriching experience for your students. Are corporate group tours available?

Yes, parties can accommodate corporate groups! Please contact the Science Center.

Do all members of my group  have to be together to have access to the exhibition?  

Yes. This is required to have access to the group rate. If you anticipate your group will arrive at different times, we suggest purchasing your tickets separately.
