
Scholarship Program Application
The Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships of $500 to 4 graduating seniors of the Brandon Valley School District.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students must be a graduating Brandon Valley High School senior with a record of volunteerism in the community, in non-school sponsored activities, and/or participation in extracurricular school activities.
- Applicants must plan to attend an accredited post-high school college, university, vocational technical school, community college or junior college on a full-time basis.
- Application must be signed by both the parent and student in order to be considered.
Application Deadline:
- The application packet must be received at the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce (BVACC) office by 5:00pm on April 3rd. The BVACC assumes no responsibility for application packets left outside of our normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday; excluding holidays). Applications may be mailed and must be postmarked on or before the deadline.

Enclose the following information along with the application page:
- Enclose your most recent academic transcript. You must have a high school cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to apply.
- Enclose a summary of your high school honors, your school activities and your community activities.
- Enclose information on your employment history. Include length of employment, hours per week and work duties.
- On one sheet of paper answer the following essay questions:
- “You have probably seen the ‘Buy Brandon’ message from time to time in our community. What do you believe is the importance of buying locally?”
Applications will not be considered unless all of the above required information is complete and received as specified.
Applications will be evaluated on all categories equally.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by the Chamber of Commerce before graduation.
