COLLEGE NIGHT AT THE JERSEY SHORE is being held on October 2nd at the RWJBarnabas Arena @ High School North at 6:00 pm.  Over 135 Colleges, Universities, Technical Schools and the Military will be there.  It’s FREE and all are welcome.  See Mrs. Lulias for details.

HOMECOMING BIDS WILL GO ON SALE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH!!!  Homecoming is on Saturday, October 13th and the cost per couple is $60.00 and a single bid is $30.00   Prior to purchasing you bid, you MUST have the Obligation form signed off by the main office.  Obligation forms can be picked up in the Main Office and the Student Center.  You cannot purchase a bid without a COMPLETED obligation form. All bid paperwork MUST be returned to the bagel booth by October 11th to receive your invitation.

VOTER REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT!   High School East will have VOTER REGISTRATION taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 26th thru 28th in the Bagel Booth at the beginning of 4th period and after 6th; period. You must be 17 years old to fill out the form. Have your driver's license with you!

In the spirit of being kind to each other, the CHARACTER CLUB is asking students to volunteer to act as greeters of other students before class each period.  To do so, simply ask your teacher if it would be okay for you to act as a door greeter.  Then, greet other students as you would like to be greeted at the door.  Simple way to express and demonstrate your kindness. - Weidenbush

Wednesday, September 26th is Peace Love and Kindness Day!  Come to school dressed in hippie attire and spread kindness by performing your own Random Acts of Kindness

For all those interested in going on the first HISTORY CLUB trip of the year to the UNITED

STATES NAVAL ACADEMY and downtown ANNAPOLIS, see Mr. Cohen in room E5B for a

permission slip.  The trip will be held on Sunday, October 28th and will be available to the

first 100 students who hand in their money and permission slip.  The cost of the trip is $50.

There will be a DART Youth Prevention meeting TODAY after school in W14.  All returning and new members are welcome. – Aulisi

Hola! Bonjour! And Guten Tag!  Do you like weird and interesting food??  The German, Spanish and French Clubs will be hosting INTERNATIONAL CUISINE NIGHT on Wednesday, September 26th in the Media Center at 6:00 pm.  Bring food and $3 to enjoy the feast.  See Herr Tourjee in M32 for more information.

RAIDER CHESS will start on Wednesday, September 26th, at 2 pm in W32.  All are invited.  Refreshments will be served.

The First ALLIANCE meeting will be on Thursday, Sept. 27th after school in Room M-22 until 2:30.  We will discuss the clubs plans and get to know each other.  See Mr. Smith or Mrs. Granato with any questions.

Any student interested in traveling to England, France and Spain in 2021, there will be an informational meeting this Thursday at 7:00 pm in room E3C.  See Mr. Knight with any questions. All parents welcome.

Have you ever been curious or interested in politics, law, or our justice system? Come join the new LAW AND POLITICS CLUB.  We will hold debates, participate in mock trials, sit in on guest speakers, and learn all about the aspects of law.  Our first meeting will be in E02 on Thursday, Sept. 27th.

Come out in support of GIRLS SOCCER on September 27th at Charlie's Pizza from 5-7pm.

The Toms River High School East SAFETY TEAM is holding its annual “School Violence Awareness” Poster Contest.  Contest rules and poster paper can be picked up in the Safety Office anytime during the school day.  Drop off your finished poster at the Safety Office before the deadline on Wednesday., Oct 10.  The top three winners will receive a prize and have the honor of painting their art work on the “Anti-Violence” mural wall.

Need some help handling the latest concept in Math Class? Or figuring out the figurative language in English?  Is History a mystery to you?  NHS TUTORS will be available after school in the Media Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:40 pm to 2:25 pm.  We look forward to seeing you there!

The ROBOTICS TEAM will be meeting every WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY in Room N3A after school.  Come join us anytime.

The COMPUTER CLUB will be meeting every MONDAY in Room S21 after school.  Come join anytime!!!


The COFFEE CORNER IS OPEN!!!  Our doors open at 7:15 in Room E16.  Keurig coffee is available at all times, and fresh brewed coffee is available by 7:30.  $1.00 for coffee or tea, and 50 cents for any snacks (doughnut, muffin, etc.)  Our students work the coffee shop periods 3 & 6 and will greet you at the door and check you out at the register, but we are open ALL DAY so any time the door is open just COME ON IN and help yourself! Please leave money on register or in tip jar when students not working.  Stay tuned for upcoming lunch specials.
