We are grateful for the tireless service of state Rep. Mike Sturla in representing part of Lancaster County in the fight for equitable funding for public schools in the state.
Who better to continue that fight than an experienced high school teacher and a long-standing school board member? Nikki Rivera!
Nikki clearly understands the challenges of our public schools: budgeting before the state budget is approved; curriculum requirements; special education needs; and unfunded mandates, to name a few.
She is able to look at those challenges as a parent, a teacher and a school board member. Those perspectives will be invaluable as a state representative.
I am pleased to support Nikki in her ongoing service to our community.
