Travel
Closest Airport: Philadelphia, also Newark and Baltimore, but the added travel is significant
Train: Septa (local), Amtrack (to Willmington or Newark)
Transportation from airport options - Septa, Amtrack, either way you are going to have to use a car service at some point (Uber - Lyft - or similar). Depending on where you stay options will be different, but please let me know if you have questions.
Food:
Lots of food options on Main street, 10 minutes walk from Clayton Hall. We will have long (2 hour) lunch brakes to allow participants enough time to eat. Look at which place does ½ price on which day. It is very common.
There is a student center with a “food court” and a University run sit-down restaurant called Vita Nova (they claim their creme brulee is world renown!)
Taverna - upscale(ish), italian
Caffe Gelato - upscale, italian
Honeygrow - bowls, salads, good for vegetarians and special diets
Home Grown Cafe - American, Bar, Healthy (one of my default goto)
Roots Natural Kitchen - good for vegetarians
Chef Tan - Chinese
Ali Baba - Mideastern, I have not been but some people swear by it
Brew-HaHa - coffee shop
Little Goat Coffee Roasting Company - coffee shop (smaller and more intimate)
Brewed Awakenings - coffee shop - not as good for espresso-like drinks but low key and relaxing
Of course starbucks, DD, ...
Iron Hil brewing and restaurant - good beers and bar food
Stone Balloon Ale House - good beers and bar food
Deer Park Tavern - pub, low key
Closest Hotel: Courtyard by Marriot
