2021/2022 GOHS GIRLS WATER POLO

PSG and Volunteer Guidelines

PSG President: Serves as key contact between Head Coach, parents, and players, and oversees all events pertaining to assigned team (tournaments, carpools, event communications, PowerPack, team photo day, Sports Pep Rally, etc.) Varsity, JV, and Novice parents assist the president, who oversees all polo assignments. Assists Aquatics Board with projects, as needed.

Historian: Responsible for assigned team and individual photos, including but not limited to still shots, videos, drones, etc. to be used for end-of-season video and keepsake for players and coaches. (not necessary to be a professional photographer with professional equipment)

Communications: Provides all communication at Coaches and/or Team Parent direction. Assists with creating Remind lists at each team level to facilitate team parent communique.

Snack Bar: Coordinates with Team Parents on dates for snack bar, creates Signup Genius for specific snack bar hours (Varsity works during JV/novice games and vice versa) and recruits polo parents/family members (prefer 18+ years old) for assignments. Oversees the stocking, cleaning, and cash box management.

Fundraising: Schedules and advertises “fundraising dinner” venues usually done on home game days. Works with Varsity Team Parent and Aquatics Board to assist with large scale fundraising. Looking for new and innovative ways to raise money for our team.

Banquet: End of season banquet for all coaches, players and family.  Oversees all venue, food service, awards, video. Works with Team parents and Coaches on awards and senior/coach/stat boys gifts.

Team Breakfast: Hosted by a Senior players (usually at home of Senior/Varsity player). Senior/Varsity parent(s) to coordinate end-of-fall breakfast for all players and coaches.

Winter Holiday Party: Coordinates with coaches and team parents on date, venue, team-building events, and lunch/dinner.

Senior Night: Last home game of the season

Power Pack: Assists Team Parents with event, coordinating food assignments for Pot Luck.

Alumni Game: (currently during Christmas break): Assists coaches to contact as many former players/coaches as possible.

College Game:

Winter Sports Pep Rally Team Building:

Fundraising Polo needs as requested by Coaches: Donations to play tournaments and to reinstate WolfPack sponsored tournaments (Wolf Cup – boys and Princess Cup – girls); new backing for the Goals; 2 new floating goals; 2 single canopies, new balls, new shot clocks.
