Job Description

This is a paid fellowship opportunity to support SecondMuse’s (in partnership with GET Cities) research efforts for a new, multi-city program to advance the inclusion of women in tech called GET Cities, in collaboration with Pivotal Ventures, the investment and incubation company created by Melinda Gates. The Research Fellow would help to assist with developing programming, partnerships, and community curation for the Chicago city pilot. The  role  will report directly to the GET Cities Chicago Director and Associate.

The Research Fellowship is intended for current or recent undergraduate or graduate students. This is a part-time position at up to 20 hours per week for a duration of three months beginning in August. There will be the opportunity to extend the fellowship and continue work on a quarterly basis.

As a candidate for the Research Fellowship, you are passionate about advancing the representation of women in tech, have stellar management and communication skills, maintain a balance between flexibility and focus, and are independently proactive.

This role is a paid part-time position based in Chicago with the current work structure being remote work from home. The role requires up to 20 hours per week for a duration of three months beginning in August.

Required Education and Experience

Either currently in undergraduate or graduate studies, or recently completed a higher education degree. Background in technology or STEM fields a plus.
