Web Design Hackathon

horizontal line

This is a project based activity where pupils will apply the knowledge that they have learnt with Web Design to a Hackathon style activity. This could be a single day activity for new S4 pupils at change of timetable where new S5/6 pupils are paired with groups to help support them and work with them throughout the day or could also be an activity done in class time. Pupils are presented with 3 themes of challenges to pick from.

Alternative themes: You could get teachers from other departments to pitch a revision resource on a particular topic that they would like to have or senior leadership team to pitch an idea that they would like for their school, this could be an interactive project that raises awareness of school values etc. Then get pupils to pick which one they would like and come up with an idea and make it.
