Community Cupboard - Guidelines for Students

  1. Eligibility
The pantry is open to currently enrolled students experiencing food insecurity. No proof of income is required—just your student ID and honesty. Applications can be found here.
  2. ID Required
Please slide your ID in at each visit. This helps us track usage and secure funding to keep the pantry stocked. Only one student per ID swipe allowed in the cupboard.
  3. Item Limits
Some items may be limited to 1–2 per visit based on stock. Please respect posted limits—it's how we ensure everyone gets what they need.
  4. Take What You Need, Leave What You Don’t
Please only take what you can use within the week. Waste not, want not.
  5. No Trading or Selling
Food pantry items are meant to support your nourishment—not for resale or exchange.
  6. Respect the Space & Others
Be kind to staff, volunteers, and fellow students. Everyone's story is different, and we're all in this together.
  7. Refrigerated/Frozen Items
If available, these must be stored and transported properly. Bring a cooler bag if possible.
  8. Special Diets & Allergies
We do our best to label items, but cannot guarantee allergen-free products. Use caution if you have dietary restrictions.
  9. Cleanliness
Help us keep the space clean and organized. Please don’t open packages or leave items outside of shelves. Carry out all trash and leave the room just as you found it. .
  10. Suggestions Welcome
Have a product request or dietary need? Let us know—we're always trying to improve.
  11. Privacy is Respected
Your use of the pantry is confidential. No judgment, only support.
  12. Emergency Support
If you’re in crisis or need additional resources, ask. We’re here to connect you with community services that can help beyond food.
