Each reflective report should include personal insights, critical analysis, and lessons learned, supported by relevant examples or experiences.


Sample list of questions you can consider asking during your factory visits:

Production Process:

  1. Can you walk me through the production process from start to finish?
  2. What raw materials are used in the manufacturing process?
  3. How do you ensure efficiency and minimize waste in production?
  4. Are there any automation or technology integrations in the production line?

Quality Control:

  1. How do you maintain quality standards throughout the production process?
  2. What quality control measures are in place to detect defects or errors?
  3. How often are quality inspections conducted, and by whom?
  4. How do you handle product recalls or quality issues?

Safety Protocols:

  1. What safety measures are in place to protect workers and equipment?
  2. Are there regular safety training programs for employees?
  3. How do you address and prevent workplace accidents or hazards?
  4. Do you have emergency response plans in case of accidents or incidents?

Environmental Practices:

  1. What steps are taken to minimize environmental impact during production?
  2. Are there any sustainability initiatives implemented in the factory?
  3. How do you manage waste disposal and recycling?
  4. Are there any certifications or compliance standards related to environmental practices?

Future Plans:

  1. Are there any upcoming expansions or upgrades planned for the factory?
  2. How do you anticipate future market trends influencing production?
  3. Are there any new technologies or processes being considered for implementation?
  4. What are the company's long-term goals for the factory?
  5. Additionally, be observant during the visit and take note of the general working atmosphere, employee morale, and overall organization of the facility. After the internship and visits, consider discussing your observations and insights with your dad or other company stakeholders to contribute your perspective and potentially offer suggestions for improvement or innovation.

Activity 5:  Internships (May 2024) Internship Form

  1. Every student is required to complete a two-week internship during the month of May.
  2. The internship should be for a duration of two weeks, with minimum 5 to 7 hours per day
  3. Your objective during the internship is to observe the work environment, and ask pertinent questions to improve your understanding of the area of work.
  4. You may form a group of 4 or 5 students and approach school parents or people in your network to seek your internship
  5. You may seek Principal Mrs. Tanya Valecha’s guidance to secure your internship
  6. You may organise two one-week internships or observations if you desire so
  7. You may choose to work on a research project in lieu of an internship or choose a research project in addition to your internship

Activity 4:  Clever Harvey Projects (May 2024)

  1. All students are required to complete their two Clever Harvey projects in the month of May.
  2. Please note the Clever Harvey Team has been informed and you will be required to re-register your projects if you had initially opted for June/July time frame
  3. You are advised to choose one project in your area of interest or specialisation, and the second project in a completely different subject area.  
  4. For e.g. an engineering aspirant may choose one project UI/UX and a second project in finance or marketing
  5. Should have you any doubts, feel free to discuss with Dr Hanif Kanjer or Principal Mrs. Tanya Valecha.

Activity 3: Cambridge Climate Quest

Dear Student,

Cambridge has launched a first-of-its-kind climate literacy programme in India designed to help students develop climate awareness and become engaged in climate and sustainability issues. Called Cambridge Climate Quest, the programme is a 2.5-hour free online course. It envisions climate education as an interdisciplinary pursuit, mapping the conversation about climate to various learning domains.

Time:                   8am to 10am

Venue:                 Aarey forest

The bus will leave at 7am tomorrow (21st April) from Dahisar and Thane school for the tree plantation drive.
