Empathy Scavenger Hunt: Literature Review

For this section, you will write a Literature Review using 5 (7 for honor students) pieces of texts or resources covered in the past 6 weeks between all three core classes.

A literature review is not only a summary of the what you have read, but it focuses on a specific topic of interest to you and includes a critical analysis of the relationship among different works, and relating this research to your work. It will provide a focused foundation to help you build your designed solution.

For every text chosen, you must cite the source using MLA format (in alphabetical order) and then write a critical analysis about the piece that will connect the purpose of your chosen piece to your chosen theme of sustainability.

Example of format:

First Step: Think about topics, articles, videos and discussions from the past 6 weeks have interested you. Is there a focus in your interest?

Second Step: Pick out 5 texts, (7 for honors), field trips, articles and videos that have a connecting theme.

Third Step: Properly format your citations for your 5, (7 for honors), using Snider’s resources, or the given resources below.

Fourth Step: Use the CER format to write a review on EACH chosen source. Your review should include not only a summary of the what you have read, but it focuses on a specific topic of interest to you and includes a critical analysis of the relationship among different works, and relating this research to your work.
