Job Title: BJH Community Bringer
Purpose: The Community Bringer role is essential to the Bringing Justice Home neighborhood. This role helps to create a sense of community and belonging among Bringing Justice Home neighbors, volunteers, supporters, and board members. By sending cards, making calls, planning events, and building a supportive online health and wellness community, the Community Bringer helps to connect people and create a supportive environment.
The Community Bringer role also supports the mission of Bringing Justice Home by helping to build relationships and create a sense of belonging. When people feel connected to each other, they are more likely to be supportive of each other and to work together to achieve common goals. This is essential for Bringing Justice Home's mission of fostering the health and wellness of all Louisvillians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Send birthday, get well, and sympathy cards to clients, volunteers, and staff.
- Call clients, volunteers, and staff to just say hello and check in.
- Plan and facilitate community events, such as potlucks, movie nights, and game nights.
- Help to build an online community for Bringing Justice Home clients, volunteers, and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, and have a genuine interest in connecting with people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with social media is a plus.
Training:
Training will consist of a phone or video meeting to review details of the position. This will include a review of our non-discrimination policy, mission and vision, as well as job duties. There will also be a series of online modules to complete.

- 18 and older.

- Provide names and contact information for two references
- Background check
- All adults 18 and up will complete a background check, initiated by Bringing Justice Home.
