C-Lever.dwg – Determining Different Measurements

Procedure
- You will need to both draw the C-Lever along with dimensions and answer the questions on the worksheet.
- Follow the tutorial below to determine the methods to answer the worksheet questions.
- When completed print out both the drawing and this sheet and hand them in stapled together.

Tutorial Section
NOTE: Begin the drawing with the center of Circle A at 7.000, 3.375

Note: You need to change the drawing units precision to the needed accuracy.
- The worksheet shows answers accurate to 4 decimal places therefore you need to change the precision to 0.0000
- To change precision go to the Application icon pull-down menu, select Drawing Utilities and select Units.

Note: For some of the answers you need to lift the Command line to display more line commands:

- The total area of the C-Lever with all three holes removed is?
- Command: PEDIT join all the outside of the object into one polyline – see the Titleblock if you don’t remember how to do this)
- Command: AREA
- Command: Subtract ---- Object
- Select the circles to subtract
- The total distance from the center of circle (A) to the center of circle (B) is?
- Select the center of (A) then (B)
- The angle formed in the X-Y plane from the center of circle (C) to the center of circle (B) is?
- Select the center of (C) then the center of (B)
- See the X-Y plane
- The delta X-Y distance from the center of circle (C) to the center of circle (A) is?
- Select the center of (C) then the center of (A)
- See Delta X= ____ Delta Y= ____ Delta Z= 0.0000
- The absolute coordinate value of the center of arc (D) is?
- Select the center of (D)
- See X= ____ Y= ____ Z= 0.0000
- NOTE: If you didn’t begin the drawing with the center of Circle A at 7.000, 3.375 then you will need to move it there.
- The total length of line (E) is?
- Select each endpoint of line (E)
- The total length of arc (F) is?
- Select the polyline to break up again to its individual parts.
- Select the arc (F) and right-click to say “Y”es to changing it to a polyline.
