COVID-19 Updates on Worship…
Right now we are having two outdoor worship services each week: Sunday at 10am and Wednesdays at 7pm. These are both outdoor, socially-distanced services. Each participant brings their own chair to sit on and wears a mask, and each family pod must sit 6ft apart. We meet in the parking lot and have a 30-45min service which includes music, a sermon, and a time of prayer. Most Sundays are led by Rev. Ben and Stephen Schall as the musician. Wednesday nights are led by me (Rev. Steph) and we have Logan Davis playing guitar.
Wednesday nights are unique because starting at 6:30pm, Logan plays 30min of music! You are welcome to come, sit, listen, talk with those around you at a safe distance, and relax as the sun begins to set. We start the worship service at 7pm.
I want to invite you ALL to come to one of these worship services each week, whichever one fits your family schedule the best. If you have any questions or concerns about either service please let me know!
Plan for Fall Children’s Ministry
It was so great to see all of your smiling faces at our driveway visits yesterday! We are looking forward to seeing you guys in two weeks for our next driveway visits.
For September we will do driveway visits on: Monday Sept 28 (3-6pm). As we get closer we will email you and see if you would like a visit that day.
The Spiritual Formation Ministry Team met last night and approved the following to be planned for October:
Evening in North Park Hiking/Playing Games with Kids
Backyard Socially-distanced Bonfire with Kids (hosted by a parent)
Halloween afternoon Gathering
Keep an eye out for dates!
I know that work and school schedules are crazy right now. What days of the week work best for your family? What times of day are best for visits or for a park gathering? Any information you give will certainly be welcome and will help us in planning.
Thank you in advance for your responses!
We have all been invited to a Halloween gathering/bonfire in the backyard of Sue Scott’s (mother of Tony, Chris, and Thomas Stratigos) home on Sewickley-Oakmont Road. This will be held 3-5pm on Halloween (Saturday October 31). You are welcome to come and go as you please but please RSVP to Steph so that we can keep an eye on numbers. So far it looks like most townships are not starting trick-or-treat until 6pm so this will give the kids a chance to come show off their costumes, say hello to their friends, and have an outdoor space to run around. As we get closer we will give further details, but if you are interested in having your child attend please email Steph at firstname.lastname@example.org We will be sure to follow proper safety protocols and keep everyone safe!
A Space to be Heard
Hey kids, youth, and parents, is this time confusing for you? Are you looking for a place to ask hard questions or just vent frustration? We have a place for you!
Go to the link here and let us know what is on your mind. Steph will read them, pray over them, respond to them, or whatever is necessary. This is confusing and hard for all of us and we want you to feel like you have a place to voice that.
