Features to exercise:
Scenarios that can be followed to test the TREATMENT branch:
- Entering Picture-in-Picture mode:
- Open a video from any of the following websites: YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or HBO.
- The “Watch in Picture-in-Picture” button will be displayed on the right side of the video with text.
- Hovering on the button will provide the “Play videos in the foreground while you do other things in Firefox” description.
- Clicking the “Watch in Picture-in-Picture” button will open a small window on the bottom right-side of the screen with the video playing.
- Interaction with the Picture-in-Picture miniplayer:
- Verify that the window is closed after clicking the X button (
). - Verify that the video is paused/played after clicking the pause/play button(
/
) - Verify that the window can be moved to a different part of the screen when dragged.
- Verify that the window can be resized from the top left corner of the window.
- Verify that the video can be returned to the main browser (
).
- After the button was clicked at least once only the PiP button will be displayed without the string and the description.
- The PiP button will not appear on videos shorter than 45 seconds.
- For people from the United States:
- Navigate to the credit card autofill test page.
- Fill in all the fields with data (a dummy credit card can be generated using this website)
- After clicking the submit button a doorhanger will appear prompting the user to save the card data.
- Enter the same information and changing a value (Expiration month, Expiration year or Name) and clicking submit will trigger a doorhanger prompting the user to update the card data.
- Navigate to any webpage with a checkout asking for card data ( or the test page again).
- A drop-down menu with 1 saved entry will be displayed after clicking on each field
- All fields are autofilled with the saved credentials.
- In order to see, modify or delete the saved Credit Cards, navigate to "about:preferences#privacy" page and click the "Saved Credit Cards..." button from the "Forms and Autofill" section.
- For people from the outside of the United States:
- Navigate to the credit card autofill test page.
- Fill in all the fields with data (a dummy credit card can be generated using this website)
- No doorhangers are displayed after clicking the submit button.
- How to check if PDF forms are correctly filled:
- Open a PDF with forms (dummy PDFs can be found here: v1, v2)
- Fill in several forms with data.
- Tick several checkbox and radio buttons.
- Verify that drop-down menu options are selected correctly.
- Click the Hamburger Menu button and select the “Print” option.
- Verify that all fields with data, checkboxes and radio buttons remain filled in the print preview.
- Click the “Print...” button and select the “Print to PDF” option.
- Verify that all fields with data, checkboxes and radio buttons remain filled after the document is saved.
- Bookmarks toolbar after import:
- Make sure you have another browser installed (e.g. Google Chrome) with a few websites bookmarked.
- Open the bookmarks library (hamburger Menu > Library > Bookmarks > Show all Bookmarks)
- Click the “Import and Backup” button and select the “Import Data from Another Browser” option.
- Select the desired browser in the import wizard and make sure the bookmarks option is checked.
- The imported bookmarks are displayed on the bookmarks toolbar under the URL bar and the toolbar is automatically displayed.

- How to check if errors are displayed:
- Open the following bugzilla bug.
- Use the mouse middle click to open the website from the title of the bug
- No Warnings should be displayed when opening the page.
- A warning is displayed when opening the page with a left click instead of a middle click. (Bug 1664219)
