The LEAD Agenda became a defining chapter in CCCI history, providing a clear, values-driven roadmap that reinforced Cebu’s position as a resilient, innovative and globally competitive business hub.

2025

As an evolution of the LEAD agenda, the chamber introduced the
LEAD AMUST to deepen its engagement with the business community and strengthen its relevance through focused issue-based collaboration.  LEAD AMUST positioned alliances as strategic platforms for collective action, allowing the Chamber to respond more directly to practical concerns of business and industry.

A -
Academe Industry Alliance addressed skills and workforce mismatches by promoting closer alignment between education and industry requirements.
M -
MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) leveraged Cebu’s role as a regional convening hub to stimulate business activity, investment, and knowledge exchange.

U - Utilities emphasized the importance of reliable power, water, and digital connectivity as foundations of economic productivity.
S -
Environment Stewardship and Sustainability reinforced responsible growth through environmental awareness and long-term resilience.
T -
Transport and Logistics focused on improving mobility, infrastructure, and supply chain efficiency to support trade and competitiveness.

Through LEAD AMUST, the Chamber advanced a more structured and more collaborative approach to advocacy - translating shared priorities into coordinated actions and reinforcing its role as a responsive and forward-looking institution in Cebu’s business history.

The Cebu Flood Hero Movement was launched on September 27, 2025, at the New Cebu Coliseum as a Chamber-led initiative that underscored the growing link between economic development, environmental stewardship, and long-term resilience.  Rooted in the Chamber’s commitment to safeguarding Cebu both as a liveable city and a competitive investment destination, the movement framed flood mitigation as a shared responsibility across sectors.

Central to the initiative was the #FloodFreeCebu Multi-sectoral Call to Action, conceived not as a conventional seminar or rally but a summit-style platform for collaboration. It brought together leaders from government, business, academe, civil society, and the youth to address urban planning - one of Metro Cebu’s persistent and complex challenges.

The Call to Action was structured to educate stakeholders on the risks and science of flooding, advance practical and collective solutions, and align sectoral efforts toward a coordinated response. It also sought to motivate institutions and individuals alike to take active roles as Flood Heroes, emphasizing accountability and sustained participation.

The initiative featured expert briefings, a leadership panel, and concluded with a
Covenant Signing of Shared Responsibility symbolizing a unified commitment to long-term action toward a flood-resilient Cebu.

Building on the momentum of the Cebu Flood Hero Movement, Cebu CCI further demonstrated its commitment to Cebu’s resilience through the creation of the Task Force Padayon Cebu. Triggered by the impact of the September 30 earthquake affecting Northern Cebu and Typhoon Tino, the task force mobilized the private sector, coordinated and timely relief operations to communities.   The establishment of the task force marked a natural evolution from advocacy and awareness under the Flood Hero Movement to direct action and operational response, underscoring Cebu CCI’s roles as convenor, coordinator, and partner in building a more resilient Cebu. It also demonstrated that environmental stewardship, disaster preparedness, and community support are integral elements of the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to the province’s welfare and sustainable development

Through the Magic of Christmas, the Chamber organized gift-giving, storytelling, and interactive activities that offered moments of joy, normalcy, and encouragement.  The Magic of Christmas was an expression of care, solidarity, and community resilience, demonstrating that the chamber’s role extends beyond economic leadership to nurturing the human and social fabric of Cebu.
