Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests and Reports 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 10, 2023 through October 16, 2023

October 10, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to 54 Highway in Collins for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Vehicle hit a cow that was in the highway.  Car to be towed by vehicle owner.

October 11, 2023- St. Clair County deputies arrested Kaleena Smith at the St. Clair County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Stealing. Bond is $25,000 cash surety. **updated 10/11/2023 bond modified to $10,000 cash surety.

October 11, 2023- St. Clair County deputies arrested Martin Emerick at the Henry County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for No Insurance. Bond is $304 cash only.

October 11, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to North Holly Street in Appleton City for a report of property damage. Deputies took a report of damage to a mailbox.

October 11, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 901 Private Road in Collins for a report of trespassing. Deputies determined the matter was civil.

October 11, 2023- St. Clair County deputies conducted a traffic stop on Northeast 51 Road in Osceola. Denzel Bonnet was arrested on a Henry County warrant. Subject was transported to St. Clair County Jail.

October 12, 2023-St. Clair County deputies responded to East 54 Highway in Collins for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

October 12, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to West 1st Street in Appleton City for a report of stolen property. Item stolen was a 24-foot Pontoon boat, motor, and trailer.

 October 13, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southwest 131 Road in Osceola for a report of stealing. Item stolen was a Mr. Heater Buddy, large propane bottle, and a 6-foot red hose.

October 13, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to North Ohio Street in Appleton City for a report of a dog bite. Incident happened in Henry County. Report was forwarded to Henry County.

October 14, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 1000 Road in Collins for a report of altered mental status. No action was taken.

October 16, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 1131 Rd in Osceola for an unresponsive subject. Deputies and medics performed life saving measures and were unsuccessful. Subject was pronounced deceased.

October 16, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to East 4th Street in Appleton City for a disturbance. Report was taken.

October 16, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to 3rd Street in Osceola for a domestic disturbance. Steven Caudill was arrested and being charged with Domestic Assault- 4th Degree- 1st or 2nd Offense and Domestic Assault-3rd Degree. Steven was transported to the St. Clair County jail.
