Why pandas are the best animals

Giant pandas are very comfortable and confident swimmers.

I believe that pandas are the best animals because they are really cute and soft. Giant pandas are black and white bears.

In the wild, pandas are found in thick bamboo forests.  Giant pandas grow to between 1.2m and 1.5m and weigh between 75kg and 135kg.

Female pandas give birth to one or two cubs every two years. Cubs stay with their mothers for 18 months before venturing off on their own.

Unlike most other bears, pandas do not hibernate.  When winter comes, they head lower down their mountain homes to warmer temperatures, where they continue to chomp away on bamboo.

Pandas have a great camouflage to their environment. The giant pandas black and white markings have two functions: camouflage and communication.

Giant pandas eyes are very different from normal bears.  Panda cubs are born with their eyes shut and generally open them between six to eight weeks later.

At 5 months old, giant pandas learn how to climb sometimes practicing by climbing on their mum. Giant pandas spend 10-16 hours a day feeding, mainly on bamboo.

Sometimes, to mark their scent, panda's climb a tree backwards with their hindfeet until they're in a full handstand upside down - allowing them to leave their scent higher up.

The giant panda is native to China. A giant panda cub weighs only around 150 grams at birth. Giant pandas have a lifespan of around 20 years in the wild.

An adult panda can eat 12–38 kilos of bamboo a day. A panda can poop 28 kilos a day. We all know them as eating only bamboo, but they like some fruit too, and they can eat meat.

Now I will be telling you some panda jokes.

What do you call a confused panda?

Bamboozled!

What do scary pandas eat?

BamBOO!

Did you hear about the Pandas that were in a food fight?

A: They all got Bambooboos

As cuddly as they may look, pandas can protect themselves as well as most other bears by using their physical strength, and powerful jaws and teeth.

A giant panda is much bigger than your teddy bear. Giant pandas are good at climbing trees and can also swim. Pandas go from pink to white and black.

Pandas are lonely animals.

Hopefully by now you can understand why pandas are one of my favourite animals. They are strong, smart animals just like me! But before you go.. Here is one more panda joke - What did the panda say when he was forced out of his natural habitat?

A: This is un-BEAR-able.
