Introduction

Starting June 21, 2021, two service delivery models are being offered for center-based students:

  1. Full-time in-person instruction in our school building.
  2. Continued remote instruction with no-in person contact with staff. Instruction is delivered virtually and with updated educational materials delivered to the student as needed. Instruction is provided to each participating student for 5 days a week according to our current school calendar. This option is only available to students who have a documented medical need to remain in a distance learning status.

Each family is being provided with access to an online screening tool via Google Forms. In order to receive services for your child in the school building, you must agree to notify The Birchtree Center (by calling the front desk) if your student does not meet the outlined health criteria on the screening as soon as you are aware each morning. Additionally, we ask you to carefully monitor your child’s overall health status and proactively keep them home from school if you believe they are not feeling well for any non COVID-19 related illness. If your child is well and able to attend school, you MUST complete the Daily Health Screening each day online before 8:30 a.m.

Highlights taken from The Birchtree Center’s current Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Organization Policy specific to school-based instruction are as follows:
