Stewart for Mayor of Rehoboth Beach

Vision, Integrity, Leadership

I am running for Mayor because our community deserves leadership that unites sound financial  stewardship with a vision for tomorrow.

As a current City Commissioner, former Planning Commissioner, and member of both the Mixed-Use  and Stormwater Utility Task Forces, I have had the privilege of serving our community and helping  shape important decisions about its future. Through that service, I have gained a deep understanding  of our city's strengths, opportunities, and responsibilities.

Managed Growth, Quality of Life, and a Sense of Belonging

Rehoboth Beach is a place people love deeply, and that is worth protecting. Growth must reflect our  community's values, not be imposed upon it. I will collaborate with the community to preserve the  walkable scale, natural beauty, and neighborhood character that make Rehoboth Beach irreplaceable  while accommodating the investments our city needs to thrive.

Quality of life means clean streets, safe and attractive structures, accessible beaches, and a vibrant  commercial district.

Fiscal Stewardship

Strong communities are built on strong financial foundations.

I have years of experience in the financial services industry and am trained as a lawyer. That gives  me the experience necessary to help ensure that Rehoboth Beach remains financially sound while  planning responsibly for the future. Our city is in a strong fiscal position, we must continue to manage  taxpayer resources carefully, maintain healthy reserves, and make thoughtful investments that deliver  lasting value for residents.

Fiscal responsibility is not just about balancing budgets. It is about making sure today's decisions  strengthen our community for generations to come.

Infrastructure and Stormwater Solutions

One of the most important priorities facing our city is addressing long-standing infrastructure needs,  particularly stormwater management.

For too long, a comprehensive stormwater management plan has been studied but never formally  adopted or implemented. As Mayor, I will work to complete the plan and to move it forward while  ensuring projects are practical, transparent, and fiscally responsible.

Investing in infrastructure protects homes and businesses, strengthens property values, and improves  quality of life throughout our community.

Commercial Revitalization

A vibrant commercial district benefits everyone.

I am committed to supporting thoughtful revitalization efforts that attract investment, support local  businesses, and create welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike. These efforts should reflect  community priorities and preserve the character that makes Rehoboth Beach unique.

The future of our commercial corridors should be shaped through collaboration between residents,  business owners, and city leadership.

Community Engagement and Unity

Effective leadership begins with listening.

Our city works best when residents feel heard, respected, and engaged in the decisions that affect  their lives. As Mayor, I will encourage open communication, thoughtful discussion, and broad  community participation.

While people may disagree on policy, we all share the common goal of making Rehoboth Beach an  even better place to live, work, and enjoy our natural resources . I am committed to bringing people  together around shared priorities and practical solutions.

Leadership for the Future

My experiences as a member of the U.S. Women's National Lacrosse Team, collegiate coach,  business owner, and member of the Board of Trustees of Ursinus College have taught me that  successful organizations thrive when people work together toward a common purpose.

As Mayor, I will bring that same collaborative approach to City Hall, collaborating with commissioners,  staff, businesses, and residents to make decisions that are informed, inclusive, and forward-looking.

Moving Rehoboth Beach Forward

I am proud of the work I have done in public service and grateful for the trust residents have placed in  me. If elected mayor, my focus will be on responsible stewardship, infrastructure improvements,  economic vitality, and building a city government that works in partnership with the community.

Together, we can preserve what makes Rehoboth Beach special while preparing confidently for the  future.
