The Lee E. Clark Memorial Scholarship was established in 2018 to honor Lee E. Clark, a well-respected community member in South Sacramento and Mc Comb Mississippi, and is the mother of FCUSD Board Member Chris Clark. Mrs. Clark volunteered numerous hours helping at risk youth in both communities. She sponsored many children who did not have the means to advance their education. She also gave of her time tutoring and mentoring young women who had social & economic disadvantages. Mrs. Clark passed away in October 2014. This memorial has been set up to honor her memory.

    The award of $500.00 will be for one (1) graduating student from

Cordova High, Folsom High, and Vista Del Lago High. There will also be a$250.00 second place award for (1) graduating student from each school.  Check with your school counselor for more information

The criteria for this Scholarship will be as follows:

  1. Student shall submit an intro cover letter to include:
  1. Personal Bio of 500 words or less.
  2. Transcript showing student has maintain a 3.5 grade point average during their junior and senior year.
  3. “Volunteer Resume” with organizations, timeframes, and hours of service showing student has volunteered 100 hours of community service during their junior and senior year combined.
  4. 1000 word essay on the influence on their lives of a parent, guardian or other adult in your life.
  5.  Document showing student has been accepted by an accredited 2-or 4-year College or University.

Applications are due to Ms. Spencer in counseling by 3:00 pm on Mon. April 1st.

Winners from each site will be notified at their school’s Cum Laude Night
