Radio Script for A Game of Two Halves
TYRONE : Im Tyrone you’ll meet me later, but first let me set the scene. This is where i grew up
BD2 , Bradford, not the best of environments. A drug ridden shithole to be brutally
honest.
Few seconds later
TYRONE : This is where I spend most of my time , out here , on the street =s with these lads,
kicking a ball. Trying to live a normal teenage life.
Few seconds later
TYRONE : But sometimes , just sometimes theres no escaping whats off the street.
PARENTS : YOUR USELESS, YOUR WORTHLESS , YOUR GOiNG TO BE ON THE SAME
STREETS ALL YOUR LIFE, ID TRADE YOU IN FOR A BAG OF COKE ANY DAY OF
THE WEEK.
TYRONE : Thats what I’ve lived like all my life, Causing me to meet up with people I shouldn’t and
paying for substances I don’t need but do if you know what i mean.
Few seconds later
TYRONE : Everytime I do this *Sniffing sounds* yeah that, i hear this voice play back in my head
that goes like this…
GRAHAM : Tyrone, you are a gifted footballer, leave the streets and let your talent shine.
VOICE OVER : This is what they call a game of two halves out December 1st only on BBC3
