Homemade (Fancy)Matzah

 

4 1/2 c flour

1 ½- ¾  cup warm water

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

Course salt for sprinkling

 

Preheat the oven to 500

Take a baking sheet and heat it in the oven upside down

 

Sift flour

Add Warm water (start conservatively with ¾ cup)

Add Oil

Add salt

Mix- the dough should start to come together- but you don’t want to to be stick

Flour board

Cut into 8 pieces-

Roll out pieces- you will want to do this one at a time and complete the process with one before you move to the next.

Roll out the dough as thin as you can  (you can also cut into shapes)

Put fork marks in

Brush with a little olive oil

Sprinkle Salt

Slide Matzah on baking sheet

Flip after 2 minutes

Bake another 2-3 minutes (but watch it carefully so it doesn’t burn)

When it looks nicely brown and crispy- it is done
