FALL WEEK 8: ARTICLE SUMMARY DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
Begin by having each person summarize their 5 articles.
Once everyone has had the chance to present, consider the articles as a whole collection and discuss the following questions. It is advisable that at least one group member take notes during the discussion for future reference.
Discussion Questions:
- What themes or common findings emerged across multiple articles?
- How much of the research is conducted in Canada? Were any of the articles located in a different geographic area?
- Were there any recommendations researchers identified that could be useful for your community partner?
- What methodologies did the researchers use to study the issue?
- What limitations did the researchers identify related to their work?
- Were there any novel ideas that emerged in the articles, such as a unique idea that stood out?
- What questions do you still have, after reading the research articles (i.e. what future research is still needed to understand the issue better)
