This regularly updated document shares information on scholarships that have been sent to the school directly from the sponsor, as well as information about some university sponsored and national scholarships. This bulletin is NOT an exhaustive list; students are advised to review the websites of all colleges to which they are applying for scholarship information specific to that school, as well as national scholarship search sites. NC Teaching Fellows
$8,250/yr for 4 years
Be accepted to enroll in an approved educator preparation program leading to initial licensure in an eligible area at one of the five Teaching Fellows partner institutions.
~ NC high school senior
~minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0
~must submit an SAT and/or ACT score
~will teach in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or special education licensure area in a NC public school

Florence Kidder Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship application link can be found at https://www.ncdames.org/florence-kidder-memorial-scholarship by clicking on “Proceed to Online Application.”
All documents should be uploaded within the application link and all questions should be answered.
1. A completed application, answering all questions.
2. A separate listing of extracurricular activities, honors, community work and work experience.
3. A current photograph.
4. An unofficial transcript of grades, including first semester senior courses if possible and current GPA.
5. A letter of recommendation from one of the student’s teachers (scanned pdf format).
6. Original essay of 500 to 700 words on this year’s topic. ESSAY TOPIC

First-generation U.S. citizens, refugees, or immigrants, residents of Wake County, North Carolina who have completed at least one academic year at a high school in Wake County. High school seniors at the time of the application with a GPA of 2.5 or greater, planning to pursue a degree as a full-time student at an accredited public, private, or technical college or university in NC, and able to demonstrate family financial need.

Meredith Impact Scholarships will be awarded to first-year admitted students meeting the criteria:

1100 SAT / 22 ACT
