DRESS CODE FOR COUNTY GAMES, FRIENDLY, MIDDLETON CUP, BALCOMB, WHITE ROSE.

1.        DRESS

a)        Rule Change 2021 - Blazers will be phased out during the 2022 - 2024 Seasons, therefore County dress for play will consist of County Jacket, County Shirt, Navy below the waist, Suitable Flat Soled Shoes.

b)        Members of the Men’s Executive on arrival will still wear Blazers and where applicable County blazer badge must be worn at all official Bowls Bedfordshire matches.

c)        Hats and caps must be in County authorised colours. Belts, braces and waterproofs (if worn) must be white.

2        BADGES, FLASHES AND STICKERS (DISCS)

a)        Badges / Flash – for when a Blazer is worn.

        The County blazer badge is to be worn on the left breast pocket.

When awarded, a Middleton Cup flash should be worn on the left breast pocket above the County blazer badge.

When awarded, an Eastern Counties flash should be worn on the left breast pocket below the County blazer badge.

b)        Badges / Flash - When County Jacket is worn.

i) A first year Colts pin badge will be awarded (at the player's cost) to any member playing in his first game in a County/Association match.

ii) When a player is awarded a full badge he will be able to have it sublimated, at his own expense, on his jacket and/or shirt using the format: “Name” -  “BADGED” -  “Year”.  A specification will be provided.

iii) When a player is awarded a Middleton Cup Flash he will be able to have it sublimated, at his own expense, on his jacket and/or shirt using the format : “MIDDLETON CUP” -  “Year”. A specification will be provided.

iv) When a player is awarded an Eastern Counties Flash he will be able to have it sublimated, at his own expense, on his jacket and/or shirt using the format: “EASTERN COUNTIES LEAGUE” -  “Year”. A specification will be provided.

c)        Criteria to be awarded a Badge or Flash.

A member of an affiliated club will be entitled to wear a Badge:-

        i) After one season in the Middleton Cup competition

        ii) After 3 seasons in other County matches excluding Celebration games.

        iii) On reaching the final stages of Bowls England National Championships.

A member of an affiliated club will be entitled to wear a Flash:-

iv) An Eastern Counties League Flash will be awarded to members who have represented the County in Five Eastern Counties League matches with a minimum of one game in each of three seasons.

v) A Middleton Cup flash will be awarded to members who have represented the County in 3     Middleton Cup matches.

d)        Coloured bowls discs as supplied shall be used during play as and when directed by Bowls Bedfordshire.
